"Do you think that's enough candy?" Andy asked me as we began making little trick-or-treat bags.

Halloween was a week away. We would be a part of the block's little Halloween gathering where we'd all give out candy on Halloween night.

"I mean last year we got TP'd so I'd say so," I told him.

"Wait for a minute damn that's right the TP Bandit," Andy chuckled to himself.

"Yeah duh," I told him as I finished organizing the little bags into the bowls we bought specifically for that night.

"Is there any candy left over?" Andy asked as I began cleaning up my mess.

"Of course," I remarked as I handed him the bowl of leftovers.

"I really want a Tootsie Pop but the red flavor," Andy commented as he sifted through the candy.

"I think I saw one or two earlier," I told him as I went to put the candy on the shelf so it didn't get messed with by any unwanted rodents or even Biscuit.

"Oooh found one," Andy told me.

"Good," I replied chuckling.

Andy unwrapped the lollipop as he watched me aimlessly look through the bowl as well.

"What are you looking for?" Andy asked me.

"I wanted a Tootsie Fruit chew," I remarked as I looked for the little wrapped candy.

"Oh, those candies that are like Tootsie rolls but fruit flavored?" Andy asked.

"Yes," I told him as he helped me sift through to find them.

"Here we go. Vanilla," Andy handed me one.

"I love them so much," I remarked as I unwrapped it and popped it in my mouth.

"They just hit different at Halloween,"  Andy told me as he sucked on the lollipop.

"Mmmmhmm," I told Andy after I finished chewing the candy.

"OK now for costumes darling. We decided on what?" Andy asked for confirmation.

"Did we wanna dress up as a princess and a prince?" I asked.

"That could work," Andy analyzed.

"Ok, so tomorrow we will go get the stuff at the Halloween store," I told him.

"Sounds like a plan darling," Andy told me as we went to sit down for a bit.

"I really love Halloween so much," I randomly commented.

"I know you do darling. You love the fall season so much that you had us decorate extremely early this year," Andy chuckled.

"Well yeah, I love it. It's the beginning of the best holiday season ever," I remarked.

Andy smiled at me.

"You do shine a lot too during this time of the year. Holidays are your thing," Andy told me proudly.

"Aw well yeah I just love putting passion into something," I explained.

"Speaking of which, for Thanksgiving, do we want to fly out to Vermont if your parents want us to?" Andy asked.

My eyes lit up.

"Wait for real? Thanksgiving in Vermont?" I asked in shock.

"Yes, darling I'm serious. It would be a nice idea plus you haven't been back to Vermont for Thanksgiving as long as I've known you," Andy told me.

"Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday out of the three. I really would love that," I told him happily.

"Then consider it done. Well once we ask your parents," Andy chuckled.

"Yes oh my god this means so much to me," I told Andy as I attacked him in a hug.

Andy had to take the lollipop out of his mouth.

"Woah darling," Andy remarked with a smile on his face.

"I, well, thank you for making me so happy," I told him.

Andy pulled back from the head and looked at me.

"Your smile lines are so big," he chuckled.

"Yes of course I never even thought of going back to Vermont for Thanksgiving," I told him as I kissed him profusely.

Andy pulled away from me for a moment.

"Darling calm down," Andy told me as I continued to love on him.

"Why should I?" I asked him.

"You know what? I can't deny it," Andy chuckled as he returned to kiss and hug me.

"I love you so much," I told him as I kissed him.

"Let's pause and call and ask your parents. Well, I know they won't deny it for us to come down," Andy replied.

"Yes let's do it," I told him as I stole a few more kisses from him.

It didn't take long for my parents to answer. Well, my mom.

"Hi Mom," I remarked happily.

"Hi is something wrong?" my mom remarked worriedly.

"No nothing at all. Can we ask you a question?" I asked my mom.

Andy wrapped his arms around me as we waited for my mom to reply.

"Sure what's up?" my mom replied.

"Me and Andy were wondering if we could come down for Thanksgiving?" I asked a bit nervous.

My mom went silent.

"Uhm Mom?" I asked her.

"We would love for you to come down. Oh my gosh, I'd get to make a big fancy dinner for the 5 of us and oh my gosh," my mom began listing off.

I giggled. She got so excited.

Andy laughed too. He was smiling.

"So that's a yes?" I asked interrupting her.

"A yes? It's a freaking heck yes I am so excited," my mom began babbling.

"See I wasn't worried she wouldn't say yes," Andy whispered to me.

"I figured that," I chuckled to myself.

A sweet surprise was on the horizon.
