Things had quieted down around here.  After our big fight, Andy and I had been more open with communication but I had not totally forgiven him. All the while this was going on, I was also working back and forth across the state for conferences with the record label. Perhaps Andy had not noticed my behavior and feelings toward him.

Andy also had TV appearances and talk show interviews he had to do. He was working on a new single "No Easy Love." Written by him and Barry based on recent events.

Of course, it was like walking on ice at times. Things weren't totally normal yet.

Despite the chaos our lives had recently ensued, we were working on our garden for the season. In my spare time, I managed to get enough tomatoes and cucumbers planted so that they were beginning to flower.

In our backyard, we had a small grove of fruit trees. 2 lemon, one orange, and one peach tree. Since we had a wet winter, our plants and trees were thriving early in the season.

I was out picking some of the fruit that was already ripe. For mid-April, it felt good to be out in the sunshine.

Andy had just joined me in the picking of the fruit.

"I cannot believe how much these trees are producing," Andy commented as we filled the box with the fruit.

"I can't either. I was surprised to see how much the lemon trees are producing," I told him as I bent down to count the number of lemons.

"My parents are gonna come over and pick some fruit up tomorrow if that's alright with their eggs?" Andy asked.

"Oh of course love that's fine," I replied back after I finished counting.

We had 21 lemons, 8 peaches, and 5 oranges.

"I think it's refreshing that we sort of have our own farm," Andy remarked after he finished looking at the trees.

I smiled.

"Yeah, it is. I am really glad we moved out here," I told him as I lifted the box to head inside.

Now I'd have to wash all the fruit.

"This place had our name on it," Andy joked.

"No for reals it did. It just, I don't know, is so perfectly imperfect to me," I commented as we headed up the porch and into the kitchen.

"I do agree darling," Andy told me.

Hey, he at least called me by my nickname.

I was happy to see us back to some sort of normalcy. It was always odd for the few days after a big fight like we were on a date for the first time all over again.

I put the box of fruit on the counter and got the water running so I could fill the sink up and let the fruit soak so any bugs or stuff would come off.

"When do you think the tomatoes and cucumbers will start producing?" Andy asked me.

"Well probably soon because they are flowering," I told Andy who was now preparing towels on the counter so the fruit could air dry.

"I'm glad one of us has a green thumb," Andy joked.

"Haha true," I replied.

"I wonder if we can still plant asparagus," I asked out loud.

"Doesn't it grow all year round?" Andy asked me.

I shrugged my shoulders.

"Good question I honestly have no idea," I commented as I pulled a lemon out of the water.
