It was official. Our downpayment on the ranch in the Hollywood Hills was successful.  We were in the process of getting everything packed up.

Right now, I was working on the bedroom. KC had dropped by to check on us and drop off some food.

"So you'll be a lot closer which is exciting," Karen commented as she watched me pack up all the shoes I had.

"I know right I'll only be a half hour from you," I told her as I began tapping the top of the box.

"We'll get to hang out more," Karen told me.

"I'm so glad we are moving. It's a bit more convenient for everything though uprooting my entire existence," I told Karen.

"That's true though. I mean you've been here in this area for 5ish years right?" Karen asked.

I shook my head as I carried the box to the hall.

"All I've known is moving and I hate being scared of change but here we go," I told her in response.

"I know that feeling. When you have no control," Karen commented.

"True," I replied as I headed back to the bedroom.

Andy was working on packing the garage at the time being.

"So when will we get to go out to celebrate your new beginnings?" Karen asked.

"Once we are settled into the new house," I told her happily.

Karen smiled.

She glanced down at her watch.

"Oh shoot I better go girl. I'll be by later this week," Karen told me as she went for a quick hug and I walked her to the front door.

"Sounds good see ya KC!" I told her as I watched her walk to her car.

Then, I went to check in on Andy.

"How's it going love?"  I asked him as I popped my head into the garage.

Andy looked so cute and concentrated on his work.

"Huh?" Andy asked.

I chuckled.

He was completely zoned out.

"I was just checking on you. It looks like you got a majority of stuff packed up," I told him.

Andy laughed.

"Oh was I that completely zoned out? And yes darling I did get the garage pretty much done," Andy replied as he went to wipe his hands off.

I was by the door of the garage when Andy came up to me.

He just looked at me.

"What?" I asked chuckling.

"A kiss?" Andy asked.

"Oh duh," I replied as I went to kiss him.

"So how's it going inside?" Andy asked.

"Good. Karen actually dropped by I don't know if you were aware," I told him.

"Oh?" Andy asked tilting his head.

"Yes she actually brought us dinner," I told him as he wrapped his arms around me temporarily.

"That was so nice of Karen. Is she excited that we are moving closer to her?" Andy asked.

"Oh of course. She's ready to celebrate," I joked.

"You two are gonna be going out all the time once we get settled," Andy chuckled.

"Maybe but also I'll be working part-time at the record company," I replied.

"Darling it'll only be 2 days a week for now," Andy told me.

"Yes I know but still," I told him.

"2 weeks and we will be settled into our new home darling," Andy told me randomly.

"Yes and I can't wait," I replied as I kissed his cheek before heading back into the house.

"I'll be in to help with the rest of the bedroom," Andy told me.

"Sounds good love," I told him before I went into the bedroom.

The last major things we had to pack up before the move in one week were just the necessities we needed till the morning of.

For example, all of our dishes were packed and at the new house. We were eating off paper plates and using plastic silverware and solo cups.

I went to focus on packing up my wardrobe. I only kept a total of 5 different outfits and 2 pajama sets for the next week. A good chunk of my clothes was already packed up but just found extra stuff that needs a new space at the new house.

I was so excited because we were already looking into adopting one horse for the ranch.  Andy also had the brilliant idea to adopt chickens but I was still on the fence about that one.

Everything was slowly coming together. I was finally feeling happy and the fresh start was blossoming me into a newfound passion for life.

I turned the radio on lightly so I could just focus on cleaning the closet. I just wanted everything to be perfect for the move-in next week.

All the memories that were made here were in the front of my head. From the moment I first slept here when Andy and I were just starting out to the days I sat in this bedroom and cried when the Jessica crap started. The good, bad, and ugly were what made this house a home.

Andy's voice distracted me from my inner thoughts.

"Hi darling whatcha up to?" Andy asked me as he sat down next to me on the floor.

"Just thinking about all the memories that we've made here. I'm just being nostalgic," I commented.

"I know the feeling darling but our fresh start is coming," Andy told me.

"Yes and I can't wait," I told him as I just stared blankly into the closet.

"So did you finish packing your clothes up?" Andy asked me.

"Mmmhmm," I replied.

"So all that's left is is the bathrooms?" Andy asked me.

"Yes I think so. All the towels and stuff," I told him.

"Then I think we are good darling," Andy commented.

For a moment, it was silent. Till Andy's stomach started growling.

I laughed.

"A-are you hungry love awww," I asked him as I turned to face him.

"I am a bit hungry yes darling," Andy replied as his cheeks turned pink.

"Maybe an early dinner won't hurt? Karen dropped off some sort of casserole," I told him.

"You had me at an early dinner," Andy told me as he stood up.

He held his hands out to me.

"Thank you love," I told him.

"Let's go stuff our faces," Andy joked.

Here was to a new day full of stuff.
