This is where it first began- Takoba Municipal Beach Park. The memories of training, the aching pain of lifting all the heavy trash on the beach felt like Izuku did this just yesterday. This is where it all began but this is where it'll all end too. There is no point. Izuku's weak state didn't stand a chance against Deku's plan when they escaped. He didn't stand a chance to 'win' in gaining (y/n)'s freedom. No, there was no point at all to fight when there was no upper hand. Deku has become everything Izuku isn't- capable. The waves of the beach crashed onto the shore, soaking Izuku's shoes as his eyes were glued to the water. There was nothing except for a hollow feeling in Izuku's chest as he felt the cold water brush against his ankles. That was the only thing he could feel. The acceptance of defeat. Who could really live with themselves if they were in his position?

"I'm so sorry (y/n)...I couldn't keep my promise to you," Izuku started to rub the hidden bruises on his arms, "these bruises, the scarring, and injuries are too grave for me to deal with. I'm sorry I couldn't keep going. I'm sorry, Eri. I'm so sorry." The boy apologized with a low whisper, only for him to hear. He took a few steps into the water, now the water level was up to his waist.

"No matter what would've happened, Deku was going to win. Even if he was helping me, he was sabotaging the end result in helping me. There's nothing we can do..." Izuku started to mutter, reaching into his pocket. It was a small knife but one deep jab into his throat should be enough. Midoriya then pulled his hood over his face, not wanting his face to be shown in these final moments. His image had been damaged beyond repair. The boy raised the knife close to his throat, bracing himself to stab himself.

"And I'm sorry...All Might."

"Midoriya...?" A voice called out. Izuku's body froze, feeling his heart racing. Is that really him that called out?

Slowly looking over his shoulder, Izuku landed his eyes on a certain man. All Might...? Was he hallucinating?

All Might dropped his bag of food, running immediately towards Izuku when he saw the knife. Izuku was so baffled he didn't even move, feeling All Might grab the knife out of his hand.

"You don't have to do this Midoriya! Please, let me talk to you." All Might pleaded. The boys gaze seemed like he was in a trance before it seemed like he started to come to his senses. He wasn't hallucinating- this was real. All Might was standing in front of him. In a quick panic, Izuku tried to break out of All Might's grasp but even that sudden movement made him exhausted. All Might's eyes saddened at such a sight. Once a strong and determined boy now in front of him with such a damaged body and mind. What if All Might hadn't walked out this late and stopped him? There would be no hope. All Might guided Izuku through the water, having one arm over his shoulder. The boy just hung his head low as he was in disbelief that All Might caught him. Spending life in prison wasn't a bad thing for him in the beginning.

When they made it on the shore, All Might grabbed his bag of food that was in the sand, sitting on a beach as he started to ring out the lower half of his shirt. Izuku just stood, wide eyed as to why All Might was being so calm.

"Why...aren't you calling the police?" Izuku asked, seeing All Might reach in his bag of food and unwrap a seamed bun, offering it to Izuku.

"I have no intention of doing so. Please, sit down and let's talk." All Might sounded desperate for Midoriya not to run away, having his eyes express different complex feelings about this situation. Midoriya's stomach growled loudly to the sight of the food, quickly grabbing and eating away. He vomited in his mouth a bit from the sudden intake of food, but swallowed as he didn't want to waste the nutrients. All that All Might could do was watch as he watched Midoriya quickly eat the steam buns like it was his last. For all he knows, this could be Izuku's only good food in a while.
