There was a frightening silence in the room of Ann's living room that seemed to spook her just by hearing a gust of wind. She rubbed her hands together to ease her anxiety but her worried mind got the better of her. What she saw at the festival had made her realize what Dezuki was truly capable of. His strength, speed, and blood lust- she truly can see it now. There was a shuffling of clothes behind the older woman, making her gasp and turning to look at what it could be. But there was nothing. Only the dark shadows of the room. As Ann was about to turn her back, she was suddenly tackled to the floor, making her scream in pain from hitting the floor. She could feel a sharp object touching her neck. She looked up in horror. It was Dezuki, his facade was gone and his beady red eyes stared intensely into her green eyes.

"Dezuki, please! You don't have to do this! I didn't mean to leave you behind!" Ann pleaded and she tried to get out of Dezuki's grasp but it was futile. She could feel his grip on her wrist tighten.

"This isn't about you leaving me behind. You saw me for what I really am. How can I know you won't leave or rat me out? We're family now, right? You can't give up your family." Dezuki calmly said, insisting what Ann's intentions were but she shook her head.

"Dezuki, I promised you that I'd never leave! I mean it!" Ann kept reminding him of her words but it looked like he wasn't going to be convinced. Dezuki slowly raised up the knife, looking like he was ready to stab her but...he hesitated. Ann looked closely at his hand that held the knife, seeing that he was shaking.

"I'm sorry if I made you doubt me. Please, forgive me." Ann cried softly, having tears stream down the side of her face. Slowly, Dezuki's stone cold expression started to crack, his eyebrows turning concerned and his eyes softening.

"Do you mean it? You still care about me, even after what you saw?" He asked with a shaky voice. Ann nodded, asking if he could get off of her since her body was in pain. Quickly, the boy got off of Ann and dropped the knife. As Ann got up and started to massage her wrists and shoulders, she froze for a moment. Dezuki was bowing his head to her.

"I'm sorry...I just can't kill you. I can't. No matter how many times I've tried I can't bring myself to do it. I won't do anything like that again. Even if I'm angry at you." Dezuki apologized as he kept his head bowed. Ann kneeled down, placing both hands on Dezuki's shoulders to comfort him by rubbing them.

"It's okay. I forgive you...I just can't shake off what I saw. I've never seen you with such power before." Ann recalled, making Dezuki rub the back of his neck at the thought of yesterday.

"I've actually never been that strong before. Before that all happened, I was surrounded by purple smoke and then got pinned to the ground by someone. Then that's when I just went crazy with power. I almost lost control at one point." Dezuki clearly explained as he tried to pinpoint who could have possibly done that to him. Was it just another one of Dabi's men? That's what agitated him the most...he doesn't know who caused him to almost get caught. The way Dezuki was describing the incident it made her eyes light up.

"I've heard of this before! I've been hearing around town that there's this new drug that enhances people's quirks." This statement made Dezuki slowly raise his head, thinking back to a time this was mentioned. Then it hit him. It was back when he killed Toga. In her words, 'Tomura is trying to start an alliance with Overhaul. He developed some technology that could benefit the League and other villains under Tomuras' control. There's this new traffic of a quirk eraser drug that Overhaul is producing and a quirk enhancer that Dabi is helping to traffic.' This was fascinating news. His heart started to beat in excitement- he found a breakthrough. The villain quickly got up from the floor, talking to himself. 'Midoirya, can you hear me? We need to talk,' Dezuki tried calling out to Izuku in his head but there was no answer.
