I can't feel my heartbeat in my chest. It was hard to hear the voices around me and when someone touched my body, I felt nothing. I was numb for a bit. I wanted to scream at the top of my lungs, cry, grab my head violently and bash my head against a wall or even throw my body to the floor in an attempt to hide but...I was just numb, and my mind was blank. I know what I was supposed to feel but I was...calm. Momo, Bakugou, Jirou and the others were walking franticly around the living room and kitchen. They kept checking on me as I sat in the living room and I saw Eri try to get me out of my trance, but her efforts were in vain."Hey, Tsukauchi! I need some reinforcements over here buddy! Some villains are on the loose and we have no clue whether or not they're gonna attack this house. Hurry!" Shun panicked over the phone before he hung up. He seemed more terrified than the rest of the students and Inko, he bit his nails, and his body was visibly shaking. He made his way over to me and placed both hands on my shoulders, trying to look at my eyes that were stuck to my lap. I could feel his hands trembling against my shoulders.
"Everything's going to be okay, (y/n). I promise you're gonna be safe." He babbled, trying to reassure me. I looked into his eyes, not saying anything. He gulped at my reaction, getting back up and going back to check on the door. But there was a sudden banging on the door that made everyone jump. On the other side of the door was a familiar voice that called out to us in desperation.
"Hey! Open the door! Please, let me in!" The voice pleaded in fear. Jirou's earplug pierced through the door, listening in on who it could be. Her eyes widened.
"It's Monoma." She revealed, having us look at one another. Do we let him in or was this a trap?
"Guys, we have to let him in." Mina said, making her way to the door but Todoroki extended his arm out in front of her, blocking her path.
"What if this is a trap? What if it's a villain copying Monoma?" Shoto questioned, staring at the door. But Bakugou stomped his way to the door, swinging it open and seeing Monoma. He grabbed him by the collar, dragging him inside the house with his hand still grabbing his collar. Monoma tried to squirm out of Bakugou's grasp but he was unsuccessful. Kastuki raised a fist in the air, swinging it down to punch Monoma in the face. He then looked over at me with a calm expression.
"Did you feel that?" I shook my head no. Bakugou released Monoma, who was insulting Bakugou with his hand on his face.
"What the hell was that for?!" The blonde yelled, only having Bakugou stare down at him with a glare.
"Just to make sure you weren't Deku or some villain that was copying you." Bakugou answered. Monoma smacked his lips at his response and got up from the floor. He looked troubled and seemed...defeated in a way. Momo took notice and tilted her head.
"Um, Monoma? What's wrong? How come you were here in (y/n)'s neighborhood?" She questioned him, having him take a deep breath while his hand went through his locks in distress.
"Kendo was sick, and I was walking her home when those villains showed up out of nowhere," His brow narrowed down to show that he was angry, "one of those bastards kidnapped Kendo in the process." He finished saying, having everyone go silent.
"Was it Deku or a different villain?" Jirou spoke up. I felt my throat tense up.
"It was a different villain, but he was bribing me with...a list of demands. I can't get into detail," I saw his eyes trail towards me, "now doesn't seem like a good time." He hinted, looking back at the floor. In the distance, I could hear sirens growing close to us, which made everyone look out the windows. Now I was alone in the living room with Eri still by my side. I felt a gentle tap on my shoulder which made me look up to see Monoma standing next to me.
"Can we talk for a moment?" He asked quietly. I was a bit hesitant, but I nodded.
"Go with Inko, okay? I'll be back." I whispered to Eri. Without hesitation, she nodded and walked next to Inko. Inko saw the child next to her and she attempted to calm her and tell her everything was going to be okay. I got up from my seat and walked beside Monoma, who made his way to the door of my room. He grabbed the handle and looked back at me.
"Is it okay if we talk in your room?" He asked for consent. I merely nodded my head again, allowing him to open the door to let me in. Once I walked in, he closed the door behind me.
"So, what do you want to talk about?" I started the conversation, seeing him cross his arms.
"I know things are really crazy for you right now but, please, if you have something to do with Kendo's kidnapping, just tell me now." He suddenly said, my fists instantly clenching as I quickly started to feel my anger rise.
"Are you fucking serious? You think of all people, you think I have something to do with her kidnapping?!" I raised my voice, only for him to put his finger in front of his lips as he tried to hush me. I felt my heart race more just with that small action.
"Hey, hey! That's not what I'm implying. Let me rephrase it. What I meant was that if you knew anything that could be helpful for me, I would deeply appreciate it." Monoma corrected himself, keeping his hands out to me as if I was going to attack him. I mean, I would have but he corrected himself before I got the chance. I looked down to the floor, taking deep breaths as quiet as I could to calm myself. Monoma went silent and lifted up his shirt, taking out a 9mm pistol. That pistol was the same one he used when he was a part of the rescue mission. He held the gun to him with the handle towards me. I looked up at him with confusion.
"I want you to have this. With everything that's happened today, I feel like you might need this one day." He insisted. Hesitantly, I reached for the gun and held it in my hand. He gave me a weak smile as he seemed uncomfortable with my blank expression now.
"Plus, I want you to have it so I don't get into trouble." He tried to joke but I only brought up the gun close to my face, turning it to examine every detail. He sighed and opened my door, looking back at me once more.
"(Y/n)," I looked into Monoma's blue eyes, "whatever happens, know that we're all here for you." He said his final word before he left my room, shutting the door behind me. As soon as he closed the door, I walked over to my bed and placed the gun under it. Then I sat on my bed...trying to keep my mind clear but...I can still hear everyone's voice in the distance.
______________
(Y/n) sat on her bed while she tried to put herself into a trance. She needed to have her mind clear at all costs but was struggling to do so. Then she remembered the noise canceling headphones she had in her closet. She got up from her spot, scavenging through her closet until she came across the set of headphones she was looking for. The girl placed the headphones over her ears, hearing her surroundings go completely silent. (Y/n) let out a long sigh in relief, going back to the edge of her bed and sitting in the same spot. She closed her eyes, allowing her mind to disassociate from reality. Slowly and surely, her mind was disconnected with her environment and her door opened, Eri standing at the entrance. She stared at (y/n)'s body, seeing that she was concentrating of some sort. At least that's what the child could understand. She carefully stepped her way towards (y/n) and quietly sat next to her legs on the floor. She knew she had to be quiet, so she pulled her legs to her chest, not making a sound. She was going to be by (y/n)'s side no matter what because she knew that (y/n) needed her and with each incident that happened, the more Eri realized the dire and terrifying things that (y/n) was facing alone. She wanted to help, although it isn't right for any child to see things that Eri has experienced.
"(Y/n)? Where are you-" Shun was calling from the living room while he walked towards (y/n)'s room. He was about to call out for her again until he entered her room but immediately went silent when he saw Eri with her index finger in front of her mouth, signaling him to be quiet. The man's eyes darted to (y/n), seeing that she was in a meditating like state. He was about to disturb her, but he stopped himself from doing so, slowly backing out of the door, closing the door softly. Now Eri was left in solitude with (y/n), who God knows what her mind has drifted off to in this hour of devastation.
