I've never been honest from the start. I haven't been honest with my mom, to my friends, to Eri...or to Izuku. When all of this started, I was so convinced that Izuku and I would be safe when we got rescued but that wasn't what happened. He needed help and they caged him, abused him, and the public wasn't willing to understand what was really happening. Izuku was being controlled by that entity, what he now claims to be Deku. My feelings, that feeling of loving Izuku was almost shattered when I was being held as a hostage. Really, can you imagine the one you love so much acting like a monster towards you and claiming it as love...all while having the same face you came to adore?

I feel useless to Izuku. I never wanted to accept the fact that Izuku was being taken over by Deku. I lost my quirk, I lost my chance of living like a normal teen, and now I'm losing the one person that made me feel safe in this world. When Deku escaped from prison, it made me lose hope, even to the point where I was willing to give myself up for him. Maybe that's why I've been so angry.

Knowing that Deku was taking over, I've tried to push away Midoriya so that way I wouldn't be so hurt when we do have to part ways. But this lashing out, I never wanted this. I haven't had the chance to express my feelings and now, I don't think I'll ever have Midoriya understand that I still care about him, that I wish I had my best friend back, that I wish we had our normal lives back. And I was still willing to fight if Midoriya understood me but now...I don't think there's even a point to fighting anymore.

(Y/n)'s eyes slowly opened, feeling the cold floor underneath her. She saw another body next to her, having herself rub her eyes to clearly see. It was Eri. The girl looked up with her wide red eyes, quickly showing concern as always.

"(Y/n), what happened? Did something bad happen to Midoriya?" Eri tilted her head when she asked softly. The teen let out a heavy sigh, trying not to allow any tears fall from her eyes in front of Eri. If there was anyone she needed to seem strong in front of right now- it was for Eri. (Y/n) extended her arms, signaling Eri to come over for an embrace. The child scooted over, embracing (y/n), having a moment of silence. (Y/n) squeezed Eri for a moment before caressing her bluish, off-white hair.

"What time is it?" (Y/n) questioned.

"It's five in the morning. I didn't know what time to wake up and didn't want you to wake up late." Eri replied, her voice a bit muffled as her face was buried in (y/n)'s shirt. The girl didn't say much but just stared at the tile floor, seeing the sun peer through the crack of the bathroom door and the window. The window wasn't really structured as one but it was a rectangle shape and was almost up towards the ceiling. You know...looking at it more...it reminded her of the time she wanted to die, harming herself to escape and the last thing she saw was the sunlight peeking through the window. How interesting it can be when sensing something that reminds you of a bad moment in life when you're feeling the opposite. Like associating a food with someone you don't talk to anymore and feeling dread but years later, you're eating that same food but when someone who's your best friend and feeling...comfort.

"Eri, you know that I love you, right?" Eri softly nodded. (Y/n) could feel her heart clench, not really expecting her to agree. The girl softly kissed the top of Eri's head.

"Well, we leave the house around seven thirty so, I'm gonna try and sleep some more. You should too, Eri." (Y/n) mentioned as she tried to change the subject, rubbing her eyes as she stood up from the floor, helping Eri up as well. Today was going to be a long day for sure if Eri didn't get enough sleep.

Thankfully, the two girls were able to rest until it was time for their normal routine. Getting ready, eating breakfast and walking to school- just like every other day. After dropping off Eri with Recovery girl, (y/n) started walking up the stairs to her class, not trying to strike conversation with anyone unless it was important. But walking past the department of support, (y/n) stopped in her tracks. She saw All Might exiting from Mei's working station with a briefcase in hand. The girl was frozen with curiosity before she had the time to move, seeing that All Might turned to walk down the hallway but stooped when he saw (y/n). He quickly changed his nervous expression, smiling and waving at (y/n).
