Three painful days have passed. But in all honesty- (y/n) started to lose track of how much time has been passing. It didn't really matter anymore since all she was waiting for was Eri to come back to her once more. It started to feel like an eternity at this rate. (Y/n) stopped noticing her hunger not being frequent as much, staying up long hours or oversleeping most days, and having little to no concentration on most things. Aizawa had come by to visit a few times and informed (y/n) she could stay home a bit longer to grieve for her mother and Inko. But the thing that was eating at her too was what was inside the letter Izuku gave her. It's too much to handle everything at once.
The girl curled herself in a ball, making her body sink more into her bed as she pulled the blankets to her shoulders. It was kind of chilly in Shoto's house- something she's trying to get accustomed to since it feels a bit awkward to start asking them to accommodate her more. In a way, the cold reminded her how it was a few days prior to her rescue. Just a cold, eerie environment...
(Y/n) flinched a bit as she heard a sudden knock on her bedroom door, having her sigh as she lifted her body up. Fuyumi called on the other side of the door, asking if she could speak to her for a moment. What could it be this time? More questioning if she's eaten enough? Drunken enough water? The teen girl walked to the door, slowly opening the door to peek her head out a bit. Fuyumi greeted the girl with a warm smile, like she always does.
"Good morning (y/n)! How are you feeling?" Fuyumi questioned.
"I'm fine. Thanks for asking. Can I help you with anything?" (Y/n) replied, having Fuyumi quickly shake her head no.
"Actually, I wanted to ask you something else." Fuyumi started to nervously mess with her fingers. Raising a brow, (Y/n) tilted her head a bit in confusion.
"It's just- ya know, a festival is happening today downtown and I was wondering if you would like to come along. Shoto has school today so he won't be able to come but I thought this would be a good chance for you to get out a bit. What do you say?" Fuyumi proposed to the young girl. (Y/n) broke her gaze and remained silent for a moment. In all honesty, it feels wrong to go out and enjoy your life while you're still grieving. Sitting in one's own sadness is what feels comforting and appropriate for a time like this. But then again...Izuku is trying his best to put her at ease and find a reason to smile. So, why not put his effort to waste? After a bit of silence, (Y/n) nodded.
"Okay...I'll go with you." (Y/n) finally agreed, having Fuyumi clap her hands together excitedly.
"Also, at any point you don't want to be there, I'll bring you home straight away." Fuyumi mentioned as she started to walk to her room to get her things ready. In the distance, (Y/n) heard Fuyumi say, "I'm excited you're coming!", making the teen smile to herself as she closed the door and began rummaging through her dresser. Maybe, today wouldn't be such a bad day. The sun was shining bright, warming everything beneath its light, there was a slight breeze, and you could feel summer coming around the corner. But in some weird way, (Y/n) was happy that Izuku, too, could experience this beautiful day, no matter where he was. And that brought (Y/n) the comfort she needed.

The sound of water running splashing on dishes as they clanked together filled Deku's ears as he was concentrating on reading the book in front of him. Ann was humming to herself, peeking glances at Deku to see if he was enjoying himself. Ever since that night he confided to her about what happened to Izuku's mother, they seemed to be closer and he seemed more...calm than normal. Deku cocked his head to the side in confusion and growled with frustration.
"Ann, what does this word mean?" He questioned the older woman, grabbing his book as he pointed to the word he was struggling to pronounce and comprehend.
