High above the living world, God sat on his throne. He was thinking about how remarkably his twin sons had turned out. As much as he hated to admit it, he had failed when it came to Lucifer. He was thankful that Michael had grown more obedient. One ideal son was better than none. But it had made things difficult. God had planned to have his sons lead a critical mission with challenging tasks. All that had ended when Lucifer began to rebel. The boy spoke his mind and defied nearly every rule. Ultimately, God had no time to raise someone who couldn't be used for the greater good. While banishing Lucifer had saddened him, he believed it was for the best. After disowning one of his own, all the responsibilities that were supposed to be shared fell upon Michael's shoulders.

Far down below, Lucifer was also reflecting. Unlike Michael, he had realized what kind of person their father was. It was why he had rebelled. He refused to be a lamb for the slaughter. He was no sheep to be rounded up for God's plans. Lucifer had never regretted anything except leaving his brother and mother behind in Heaven. Lilith had always listened to him and comforted him when his father scolded him for not behaving how he expected. As a son of God, much pressure had been put on Lucifer's shoulders. There were a lot of expectations. But it was too much for him. He wanted to live free and be himself. It wasn't like he couldn't communicate with his mother and brother anymore. But things weren't the same after his banishment. He no longer cared. It didn't matter anymore.
