Michael was reading something. It was Lucifer's journal. Within the old pages was so much. From passed-over birthdays, demeaning accomplishments, and belittling friends, Lucifer had recorded everything their father had done. And there was more. Much more. Michael had had no idea. He had always thought God had treated them differently because they had different skills and talents. However, that clearly hadn't been the case. It had been nothing short of favoritism. The smile usually on Michael's face disappeared as he continued reading. He was rarely angry. But he was now.

Michael made a decision. He was done listening to his father so obediently. He was done if this was the kind of person he truly was. But first, he had to have a word with his brother. Michael quickly wrote and sent Lucifer a letter asking to meet briefly. He then carefully hid the journal in his messenger bag. While the good angel didn't have the stones to stand up to God like his wicked twin, he knew something had to be done. Of course, nothing would make up for the years of neglect. But he needed answers from the source. Michael had always known that Lucifer hated him. Now he knew why. He got all their father's praise and adulation for growing into the angel he had expected. Michael felt regret for the first time in decades. And utter disgusted by their holy father.

Michael continued planning. God allowed one visit per month. The stupid reason? He didn't want Lucifer rubbing off on his ideal son. Everything had to be one in one shot. He didn't care anymore. There was no way he could go against God like his brother. But there were other ways. Michael laughed to himself. Their father should've been more careful. Lucifer had had his turn to go against Heaven. Now it was his turn to raise some Hell. Or, at least, make things difficult and be a pain in the ass.
