Things were not looking good for God. But he was a patient man. And he believed in second chances (most of the time), especially regarding his son Michael. Naturally, he didn't want to believe the rumors of him involved in...questionable activities. No father did. But the whispers were hard to tune out. And Michael's increasingly distant behavior didn't help. And God's worries grew as his boy refused to speak his mind anymore. He still saw his son around semi-frequently. But he was always with others. And the company he kept nowadays was somewhat concerning. Michael wasn't exactly very subtle about it half the time, either. As much as he didn't want to believe it, something was up.
God had tried talking to his son multiple times. But Michael had become a tough one to crack. But finally, he agreed, and they sat down over dinner one night. Thanks to being held in such high esteem, it was pretty easy to convince his father that the rumors were baseless nonsense. He had spent so many years being manipulated. Now it was his turn to pull the strings. And he had learned from the best. Of course, Michael remained cautious. This was God, after all. He couldn't just outright charge in. Everything had to be taken into consideration at every step. He had made a lot of progress while his father had been on vacation. But Michael needed help from the expert living down below. Far down below.
