Family was a bit of a foreign concept in Heaven. Up in the clouds, serving God came above all else. Even the lesser angels and cherubs were expected to do their part in whatever small way possible. Personal matters and other things were down the list. Sure, many heavenly residents had families. But they were often pushed to the sidelines when God gave orders. As for God himself, sure he valued his family. He had found a real wife after his third marriage and had two sons. Unfortunately, one of them had never listened. And he couldn't have that as Ruler of Heaven. He didn't have time for disobedience and disrespect.
