It had been a week since Charlie had proposed her grand plan to rehabilitate demons. Lucifer was relieved that she had quickly given up on her naive dream. It was childish and foolish. She had better things to do, like learning how to rule Hell and finding herself a king. She couldn't waste time on such frivolous things. But like a good daughter, she had listened to him. And that was a great weight off his shoulders. As Lucifer muddled over the past few days, he was still concerned. He knew Charlie wasn't the type to give up and give in easily. As her father, he knew her well. And he had his suspicions that she wasn't down for the count yet.

As Lucifer wandered the castle grounds, something above caught his eye. It was an Executioner. Upon instinct, he was ready to fight. However, the angel was alone. Aside from his weapon, he held a scroll. The Executioner flew down and handed Lucifer the parchment saying it was from God. With that, he left. It was a concise message. And it pissed him off. Of course, his father knew about Charlie's dreams. It seemed like both fathers had quite a bit of disappointment in their child. It was the one thing they had in common. Lucifer shredded and burned the paper. He knew God was laughing from above. But that was karma. Even demons didn't escape her grasp. Lucifer grumbled and cursed as he returned to his castle. There were very few things he would never live down. Knowing how his father felt was one of them.
