Three more days passed. God was home. He was pleased to see Michael had kept Heaven in such good order. Then again, he would have expected nothing less than the son he was proud of. Michael greeted his father with a plastered smile and handed him a series of reports regarding everything necessary that had happened in his absence. While he read, he brought his father refreshments. God approved of his son's rule while he had been away. Perhaps he could have Michael take on a few more duties. He even toyed with allowing him to rule Heaven one day. He was so proud of him.

Once God was asleep and resting, Michael sprang into action. He contacted his pack and informed them that he had returned. An emergency meeting was soon underway. They covered everything from laying low to reaching out to others to support their cause. Michael knew a rebellion wouldn't work. Not when the first had failed, leading his brother to be banished forever. They threw ideas around, and the meeting turned into a brainstorming session. The newer recruits were still on the fence. But the evidence spoke for itself. God had kidnapped, murdered, and lied. And who knew what else given what they had seen until now. Michael called order as things got heated and restless. He preferred a more loosely democratic basis, unlike God whose decisions were final. As the meeting continued, some promising ideas came up. Michael commended them as his second-in-command noted them down.

That night, the plotting continued via the chat group Michael had set up for his pack. They were making real progress. He still felt guilty when he thought about how he hadn't been there for Lucifer. But it was more anger now. Michael had failed his brother once. He wasn't going to fail him again.
