It had been so many years since Lucifer and Michael had fought. But both remembered it clearly. It had all started when Lucifer's rebelliousness had awoken. Their father had tried to discipline him many times via even more methods. But nothing had worked. Eventually, God had had enough. He had grown tired of investing so much time and energy into a son that never listened and refused to amend his ways. His son was a lost cause. Thus, he had restored to getting rid of Lucifer. God could've done it himself. But he had asked Michael to do it instead. He had brainwashed him into believing his brother had it out for him to make it work. While they didn't get along, Lucifer never would have raised a hand against his Michael. That was crossing a personal line. But their father had pitted brother against brother. All for his own gain. In the grand scheme, they were just pawns. And a king didn't need a pawn that didn't follow orders.
