It had been a long time since God had visited Hell. Usually, he just went via astral projection. But today was different. For some reason, he suddenly remembered that he was a grandfather. And that meant he had a granddaughter that he had never met. Not that Lucifer would've allowed it. Ever. But God figured he should at least introduce himself. So, he sent the princess a letter asking to meet. To his pleasant surprise, Charlie replied the next day. She was happy to meet her grandfather. But not right away. Lucifer had business in a week and would be leaving the castle under Lilith's command. Charlie knew her mother wouldn't have any objections. So, waiting until he wasn't around to ruin the introductions was better.

God patiently waited. Once the signal from Hell came, he stepped off the cloud barrier. He fell through the Earth and deeper and deeper until he reached Hell. The work Lucifer had put into remaking Hell to his liking was remarkable. The seven rings were bustling with all kinds of infrastructure and demons. And he had to admit. He was very impressed. Not that he would tell Lucifer. God dawned a disguise and levitated his way to the castle. Charlie was already waiting outside and let him in. Once inside and away from prying eyes, he reverted to his original form. It was far more comfortable than the trashy costume he had devised on the fly to sneak in.

The two sat down and began talking. Charlie had all sorts of questions about Lucifer. And God answered. Her father hadn't always been cold and demeaning. Sure, he had always been troublesome and stubborn, but he had had a good heart overall. That was until he had decided to go against Heaven. While there was some clear bias, God didn't lie. Did he still care for his son? Not really. But was he still watching over him? Kind of. Charlie and God talked for hours into the late afternoon. He promised to visit again. In the meantime, she undoubtedly had a list of questions for her father.
