God sat back in his chair. Something was dreadfully wrong with his son. Michael had become distant. He didn't talk to him much anymore. And that was cause for grave concern. Whatever had gotten into him had to be terminated with extreme prejudice and no remorse. God sighed heavily. He didn't want to resort to such things with Michael. But it seemed like he wouldn't have a choice soon. His favored son was slipping away from him.

God's thoughts turned to his prodigal son. Lucifer had always been a headache and a troublemaker. He couldn't even count all the warnings he had given him. But nothing had worked. The final straw was when he went against Heaven. That was where God had drawn the line. But, as his father, he had given him second and third chances to stop before making the worst mistake of his life. But Lucifer hadn't listened. He had continued to rebel until his father had had enough. God couldn't jeopardize Heaven in exchange for keeping his unruly son. Thus, he issues one last warning. But it fell on deaf ears. Lucifer was stubborn. There was no ending to his rebellion. Therefore, God had decided to cast him out. After all, it was better to cut losses short and quit while ahead of the game. And in God's game, pawns who didn't follow the king's orders were executed.
