I stayed silent. Everyone was so silent. Even Gage didn't answer his mother.

Nasa akin lang ang tingin nito.

I didn't look at him and just watched him put food on my plate. Ramdam ko ang tingin ng lahat sa amin. I don't like the attention but I'm starting to be so nervous about what's happening. Natatakot rin ako, baka kung ano ang gawin nila sa 'kin!

Gage sighed when nobody talked. Tinapos muna nito ang paglalagay ng pagkain sa plato ko bago umayos ng upo at nilingon ang ina niya.

I pursed my lips and looked at them.

"We all know why I'm wearing a ring, Mother. Why are you still asking?" Kalmado nitong sagot.

Nagulat ako dahil sa tawag nito sa ina niya. Hindi naman iyon tunog disrespectful. In fact, it sounded the opposite.

"Just making sure I know the right things," she shrugged before looking at me. "Besides, I prefer you marry already."

I looked away.

Hindi ko kaya ang intensidad ng mata nito.

"Let's all eat first and talk later." Pag singit ng ama nito, he even cleared his throat.

Palihim akong bumuntong hininga at hindi na nilingon pa sila. Everyone started eating after that. It was so silent. Ramdam ko ang pag sulyap sulyap sa 'kin ni Gage pero hindi ko ito nililingon.

"Do you want something else?" He asked, halos bulong.

I shook my head. I want to leave already but I don't want to speak.

Besides, naguguluhan rin ako sa sinagot ng ina niya dito. Isn't he married already? Bakit gusto na nitong magpakasal siya? Ang gulo.

"Eat more, please..." He whispered.

Napabuntong hininga ako at nagpatuloy na sa pagkain. It was again so silent. Maging ang kubyertos ay hindi tumatama sa plato nila.

Nang matapos na ang lahat ay nagsimula na naman akong kabahan. Especially when I heard his father cleared his throat.

This is so scary. It's as if their family is so powerful. All of them have this aura that I don't want to cross and meddle with. Nakakakaba talaga. Napainom ako ng tubig bago umayos na ng upo, pinapakalma ang sarili.

Halos mapaigtad ako ng magsalita ang ama ni Gage. Napansin niya iyon kaya agad niyang hinawakan ang kamay ko sa ilalim ng mesa. I pulled it away immediately. Not wanting any contact with him.

Hindi naman niya pinilit iyon.

"What's your surname?" Puno ng otoridad nitong tanong.

Napasinghap ako ng konti, sobrang kinabahan. Pakiramdam ko ay hahatulan ako sa kung ano!

"Trevino, po." I still tried to sound respectful even with all this fear and nervousness.

"Trevino?" Kita ko ang pagkunot ng noo nito. "Not familiar. You're not part of a wealthy family, then?"

I pursed my lips, agad nakuha ang punto nito. Does that mean my family name's hierarchy level in the industry is important?

Hindi familiar ang Trevino dahil wala namang pangalan ang ina ko. She was just a normal lady who got married into a Japanese guy that is related to the Japanese royalty.

"I have no family. No." Pag sagot ko.

I don't understand these questions. Bakit nila ako tinatanong nito? I thought I'm here because they're mad that I kissed their son, causing a ruckus with the media?
