That night hardly anyone got any sleep. Charlotte slept in my arms inside the RV. I was exhausted, but I couldn't close my eyes. I was honestly too terrified to. What if another herd came through or an even bigger hoard? As the sun began to rise I woke Charlotte, not wanting to leave her alone in the RV. Especially knowing Andrea was still outside sitting with Amy's dead body that hadn't turned yet. But she sure was a ticking time bomb.

Andrea made eye contact with us as the door opened, but seeing it was only us she looked back down at her sister. I guided Charlotte away from them. I left her in Carol's capable hands, while I searched the camp for the others. They were already sorting bodies getting ready to dispose of the dead. Shane, of course, was watching Lori as she spoke to Andrea about Amy and it clearly didn't go well seeing as she came back empty handed, no plan in place. Daryl was going around and smashing in the Walker's brains making damn sure they really were dead. While T-Dog and Glenn were carrying the dead bodies to the piles of the dead.

"Mornin'." Daryl said as I approached them.

"Mornin'." I yawned. "What do ya'll need help with?"

"You didn't get any sleep did ya?" Daryl asked shaking head. "Go get some shut eye."

"I can't sleep, Daryl." I sighed as he pulled me aside. "I can't sleep because every time I close my eyes. I have to worry about if they'll open again. If we're gonna be attacked by walkers again. Last night was terrifying. We were so alone. Charlotte. My god, she was so great and brave, but should she really of had to? Her own Dad didn't even protect her." I scoffed.

"Hey, listen to me. That kid of yours was a beast last night. She was impressive from what I saw after, what, only one day of training? Screw, Shane. She don't need him to protect her."

"That's not the point." I growled. "He should have! But he didn't. He protected Lori and Carl instead..." I said venomously.

"All right, you never sleep in the RV. You seemed hesitant with him last night. What's going on?" Daryl questioned raising a brow.

"He's cheating on me, Daryl. With Lori." I sighed as I ran my hands through my hair.

"What a sorry prick. I mean it, seriously? She's not even good lookin'." Daryl cringed making me laugh. "Come on, there's that smile. I know it sucks to hear, but you don't need him to protect you or Charlotte. You do just fine on your own and when you need someone, I got the both of you." He admitted softly and I looked up at him.

We seemed to gravitate towards one another. As we got closer, I coughed awkwardly after noticing I was staring into Daryl's, deep blue eyes. Probably being too close to him and my heart was racing so hard I was sure I could hear it from the outside. The same way it used to when we were kids...

"Uh, we should get to the others." I said quickly and moved away from him. I heard a small sigh escape his lips and I let out one of my own as well.

"She still won't move?" Rick asked just as I walked over to Dad, Rick, Lori and Shane.

"Won't even talk to us." Lori sighed.

"She's been there all night." I pointed out as I got closer. "What are we supposed to do?"

"Can't just leave Amy like that." Shane said his voice sounding a little sore. "We need to deal with it same as the others."

"I'll tell her how it is." Rick nodded, walking up to Andrea.

Andrea immediately pulled a gun on him as Rick approached. He put his hands up.

"I know how the safety works." She said plainly and yet so much pain filled her voice. He nodded and slowly retreated backwards towards us.

"We have to do something." I said quietly.
