I woke up the next morning with the worst headache. At least I had an amazing dream about getting together with Daryl. But that couldn't ever happen because I was unfortunately married to the world's biggest douche bag. I groaned slightly and moved to hold my head. Only to feel a body draped over mine. I gasped for a second concerned and worried only to see it really was Daryl. It wasn't a dream after all...

He was breathing evenly, up and and down his chest rose, with soft snores coming from his nose. I giggled as I turned and laid my head on his chest, relaxing for another minute before I needed to get up and find Charlotte. Oh, shit. Charlotte. What was she going to say? I ended things with her father last night and I needed to be the one to tell her. I quickly scrambled off the bed falling to the floor with a grunt.

"Oof." I groaned as I tried to stand back up.

"Well, good morning, gorgeous. Still a little drunk, are we?" Daryl laughed and I scoffed at him as I got up off the floor.

"No, I'm fine thank you." I bit back my smile which failed miserably.

I started to slide my pants back on and he turned over and watched me as I got dressed.

"Well, there's some aspirin right there. I figured you might need some this morning. You're not rushin' off like I predicted, right? Runnin' away because you regret what happened last night?" He asked with a raised brow and I scoffed.

"If I regretted last night would I do this?" I said as I climbed on the bed and straddled his lap. Placing my two hands on his face and pulling him in for a deep kiss filled with all my love for him. When I pulled away his eyes stayed closed for a moment as to savor the kiss.

"Wow. I was worried I'd wake up and find you gone already. Or maybe just findin' out it was all a dream. Do you remember everything?" He asked curiously.

"Of course, I do. I thought maybe it was all a dream too." I giggled. "I love you and that's no dream. The drunkenness only gave me the courage to tell you everything I should have a long time ago."

"Alright, i'll take it. 'Cause I love you more." He laughed. "So where you off to in a hurry?"

"I've got to find Charlotte. I want to make sure when she hears about Shane and I not being together anymore, she hears it from me." I explained climbing off him and tossing on a clean shirt.

"Makes sense." Daryl shrugged and he started to get up. "I'll come too. Make sure he ain't gonna start no trouble. Although you know we are gonna have to talk about that. What we're gonna tell her, you know? She's a smart kid. Ain't gonna take her long to put it together that you and I are together. I don't wanna hide it from her, but maybe for now it's for the best."

"God, you are the greatest human being there ever was." I said thankfully as I kissed him again real quickly.

I walked out the door and went to Dad's room to see they were already awake and gone from the room. I could smell food, so I immediately went to the dining area, grateful to find Shane wasn't up yet. Just about everyone else was in the room already.

"Hi, Mom." Charlotte greeted me with the biggest smile I had seen on her in days.

"Hey, there's my girl. How did you sleep?" I asked taking a seat next to her.

"Like a baby." She giggled and I laughed.

"Good, I'm glad. Uhm, Charlotte can I talk to you for a sec?" I asked softly. I had used her full name so she knew it was serious. She looked at me for a moment and nodded, pushing her chair out and following after me.
