The Silver Conference Begins!

Today was finally the day of when the Silver Conference battles would start. The gang were in the Pokémon center, and they were looking at a big chart which should what trainer will be facing who in the semi-finals.

Cora was in group G and her two opponents were a girl with dark green hair named Emma, and a boy with red hair named Daniel. 

"Don't forget Cora, you have to earn 3 or more points to win the round-robin tournaments." Alain reminded her.

Cora hadn't forgotten that, and she couldn't wait to start battling.

Once they gang were outside the Pokémon center, they ran into one of Cora's opponents. It was Emma from Azelea Town.

"I know you are my first opponent Cora," Emma said, "and let me tell you, my Pokémon and I won't be defeated so easily."

"I'm counting on that. Make sure not to hold back, Emma." Cora grinned.

"You got it." Emma promised, grinning.

A few hours before it was Cora's time to battle Emma, the gang were in their room. Cora was using the computer to look up Emma. She had different variety of Pokémon trainer; she had a Meganium, Pidgeotto, Slugma, Vaporeon and a Pikachu.

"She obviously has different types of Pokémon." Alain stated.

"So what Pokémon are you going to use, Cora?" Mairin asked.

"Coraline, Benton and Cornelia." Cora replied.

{A/N: Coraline (Shiny Corsola), Benton (Citreon), Cornelia (Heracross)}

"Those are good choices." Alain commented.

Cora nodded, "Yup."

Later that day, it was time for Cora's match against Emma. It was held in stadium A. The referee explained that substitutes were allowed during the match; that was different with the Indigo League, because substituting Pokémon cost the trainer a point. But this time the trainers wouldn't lose a point.

Alain, Mairin, Misty and Brock were seating on the bench behind Cora.

Emma sent out her first Pokémon; a Slugma.

"Slug!" It said as it appeared on the field.

Cora sent out her first Pokémon; Coraline the Shiny Corsola.

"Corsola!" Coraline said as she appeared on the field.

"Good choice in choosing Coraline." Alain commented.

"Yeah. Fire is weak against Rock and Water." Brock agreed.

"Coraline, use Bubble Beam!" Cora ordered.

"Slugma, use Ember!" Emma countered.

Both attacks slammed into each other, causing smoke to cover the area.

"Now use Blizzard!" Cora commanded.

Coraline opened her mouth and a blizzard is released. Slugma flinched at the drop temperature in front of it. Ice started to form around its lower part.

"Quick Slugma, use Overheat!" Emma called out.

Slugma used Overheat to melt the ice around itself.

"Okay Slugma let's use Double Team." Slugma made multiple copies of itself, but Coraline remained calm.
