Addy has finally gone to bed at about 1:30 and had faced the wall away from Stacie, who she was still sharing a room with as their mother had not finished hers, to her knowledge.

Stacie had woken up first and had slowly gotten out of bed careful not to wake up Addy. She went to get dressed and ready for the day before going down stairs and getting Addy some toast for breakfast.

"She can't feed herself now?" Stacie dropped the toast she was buttering luckily it fell to the plate and she turned to face her mother.
"She can I was just-"
"I don't care that much. I still expect you home promptly even though it is not the normal time. I also expect to see some start at the everyone's homework. Is that too much to ask?" Their mother said while getting a coffee.
"No ma'am. It will be done." She nodded and walked off as Stacie took the toast upstairs to wake Addy.

To her surprise Addy was already up and getting dressed. She had a pair of leggings on and grabbed one of Stacie's big hoodies and was pulling it over her head when Stacie entered.
"I was gonna ask when you came up but then I got cold. I can take it off."
"No, no it's okay. You look cozy." The truth is Addy looked so tired, Stacie was used to lack of sleep and covering it up but as Addy wasn't big on wearing makeup showed a lot more. Didn't help she was also trying to recover from being ill.

"I brought you some toast for breakfast." Stacie said holding the plate out and Addy looked down towards the floor.

"You need to eat something so you can take your meds." Stacie said clearing a space on the desk for Addy to sit down and eat it, Addy slumped over to the desk and sat at the edge. She picked up the toast and nibbled the corner and put in down she put her hand out, Stacie had already started getting the pills out go the bottle and putting them in her hand. Addy had gotten so used to taking pills that she had become professional at taking them without water.

"I'm going to give these to you but I am going to need you to text me when you take them, so I know, promise?" Addy nodded weakly in reply and just stared off at the wall focusing on staying awake.

"Did you talk to mother, about today?" Addy asked not moving, longing for the end off the day so she could go back to sleep.

"Yes and it's all sorted, just make sure you work on your homework when you are in detention hopefully. Hey, would do you think about possibly me putting a bit of makeup on you. You could do it yourself but mainly because you look like you haven't slept in years."

Addy agreed to the make up she didn't want to be told constantly for the next 8 hours that she should have got more sleep. No one would believe if she claimed that she was up late doing homework.

The day past slow as usual at school the girls kept their heads down and got on with it. Addy just about got though the day with dozing off she just had to be careful not to rest her head in her hands otherwise she was bound to ho to sleep. She got through Miss Holmes' breaks without her saying anything and got a most of what she had left over from the night befores homework done. As it turns out it's a lot easier when there is someone to help you do it. All she had left was Miss Ranyons detention. But at this point she was so tired and knew she was going to crash soon. She set out to hopefully to get most of her work start which she had received today and then if she could finish one that would maybe be next. She had only gotten 3 pieces of homework so she had her fingers crossed.

Addy slowly shuffled into the room at this point she was knackered. She needed sleep but that wasn't an option. She was nervous to be going in and hoped her plan would be successful.

"Good afternoon Addy, if you want to get some work out and start I just have to finish this and I will be over soon." Addy nodded and sat down  taking a deep breath. She got all her pieces out and she had science, maths and history. Luckily it was just answering questions on worksheets using her notes from class and text book. She was hopeful that she could complete these and get to bed early. She started with History it was the most wordy and would take the most help. As the other two she could possibly work out.

She had read the first sentence in her text book for the last five minutes and still was confused she tried moving on and kept forgetting what she read.

"So what you got?" Miss Ranyon wheeled her chair over and looked at her work.

"History, Science and Maths. I was hoping we could start each one and then I knew what I was doing when I get home. Then I can finish and..."Addy couldn't stop herself rambling and finally shut up before she complained about being tired.
"Okay, Okay let's calm down. I like the game plan but maybe we can try to focus on History and Science. History is the most wordy so I can help. Though I hope you made some good notes as I always used to get my dates mixed up."

By the the time they had ten minutes left they had managed to finish 75% of the history with all the questions started and she just needed to check over them and finish some of the questions. Science she knew what she had to do and they had gone over the steps and made notes so hopefully she can use that to help her finish quickly later and maths they had only just began but they had mainly been just trying to work it out. Luckily she had calculated and it wasn't any of the wordy questions just equations and Addy wasn't too bad at those.

"As this is still meant to be a detention I will ask something of you. So if u could put away the work and just talk for the last ten minutes." Addy was hesitant but did as she was told Miss Ranyon had been a big help and it was only fair.
"Now most times when I give detention I make the student write me a apology letter and why they did it. Now you have ten minutes to talk me through it or you could write me a letter and give it to me Monday. Your choice. I'm not marking spelling or grammar and I don't need big fancy words this is just for me."
Addy paused could she say why she did what she did. It would be a lie and as she know lies are far more exhausting then the truth. But could she really say the truth. To speak or to write she needed to think of something.
