Addy had been barely with it all day and was just doodling in the back of her maths book at break and lunch with seemed the majority of the year. Everyone kept trying to talk to her but Addy really couldn't care less until Emily walked over and pulled her away for a second.

"Could you look any more grumpy? Stop it." Emily says now being the older sister without the others being there.

"Sorry, just tired."

"Well, no one needs to know that, okay? People don't need to know our problems, okay? Imagine what Stacie would say if she was here?"

"But she's not! So what doesn't it matter?!" Addy walked away but Emily grabbed her arm and pulled her back.

"Addy!"

"Get off me! Mind your own business, Em. Go away!" Addy stormed off and sat back at her table.

"What was that about?" Some girl Addy didn't know the name of.

"Nothing, she is being an ass!" Everyone laughed and Addy wasn't sure if it was because it was actually because she was funny or just because they were scared what would happen if they didn't laugh. The bell went for tutor and Addy began walking with Isla and Morgan next to her and it seemed like everyone else is behind.

They sat in tutor at the back and Addy continue to doodle in her maths book when Miss Holmes walked over.

"Miss Ranyon wants to see you after school or whenever, Addy?" Addy didn't look up but carried on drawing.

"Why?" Addy questioned.

"She didn't say." Addy could tell Miss Holmes was lying and knew completely what it was about, "You could go now."

"I'm good, thanks." Addy said more aggressive then she intended.

"Where's Beca and Stacie today?"

"Sick."

"Is that your maths book?"

"It's the back!"

"Fine, just go after school!" Miss Holmes left and Morgan turned to Addy.

"That was a bit blunt, don't you think?" Morgan asked.

"I didn't intend to be."

"What do you think Miss Ranyon wants to talk to you about?" Morgan asks and Addy looks up for the first time.

"I don't know but whatever it is Miss Holmes knows, she was lying."

"How do you know?"

"I have been lied to enough to know when someone is lying and she ticks all the boxes but it doesn't matter because i'm not going."

"Why?"

"Because I can't after school and to be honest I don't want to." Addy said turning back to her drawing Morgan was annoying her asking too many questions.

"What's your problem today? You have had an attitude problem all day today and frankly it's really irritating!" Morgan snapped and Addy didn't reply anymore.

The end of the day rolled by. Maths went slowly as Morgan and Addy didn't talk and Addy didn't really pay attention after receiving the homework and being reminded about Miss Ranyon Addy left to see Stacie's car outside as she got in not thinking about going back in.

"How was your day?" Stacie asked as she started the car as Emily was already there.

"Fine." The car journey was mainly quiet from there until a minute away from home.

"Got any homework?" Emily asked.

"Yea." Addy mumbled becoming irritated very quickly.

"What subject?" Stacie asked joining in.

"Maths."

"Do need help?"

"No! Can you back off and leave me alone! I'm not three. For fucks sake!" Addy snapped.

"Language! Get rid of the attitude! We were just trying to help!" Stacie snapped back stopping the car at the house.

"Well, I didn't ask for your help so you can both Fuck Off!" Addy yelled getting out the car and slamming the door before going in side and running up the stairs. Stacie got out the car and walked to the bottom of the stairs.

"ADELAIDE MITCHELL GET YOUR ASS DOWN HERE RIGHT NOW!" Stacie yelled as Emily closed the front door.

"FUCK OFF!" Addy yelled before slamming her bedroom door closed and breaking down into tears behind it.

"Has she been like that all day?" Stacie said turning to Emily.

"Yes but i think we should leave her be."

"She can't talk to us like that and get away with it."

"Look at it like this. This is her coping with what happened last night. You and Beca take the day off, I act like everything is fine and she gets an attitude and takes it out on everyone else. She didn't cry last night she literally went straight to sleep. Let her be."

"Fine. I just don't..." Emily cut in.

"You can't protect her from everything. Leave her to calm down. Please!" Stacie nodded in agreement and went to watch TV down stairs with Emily.
