The three girls stayed in the dining room all night. They wanted to see the moment either Addy came out of the basement or their mother but neither happened until 6 in the morning. Emily had fallen asleep head first on the kitchen counter while the other two stayed awake. This not being their first all-nighter. When their mother came out she walked into the kitchen and cleaned her hands that were covered with no doubt Addy's blood. She wiped a bit that was on her face and turned to her three children in the kitchen. Beca nudged Emily awake.
"I see you decided to ignore me and stay awake, your loss," Their mother said walking out and towards her office.
"Adelaide isn't going to school. At least not for the time being. I may homeschool her as that useless place can't seem to help her." Their mother laughed and walked into her office. The girls got ready silently unsure what to say to each other they continued the drive round to the school in silence until Stacie decided to speak.
"Act normal, okay? We can't make this worse. Addy wasn't feeling well that's why she isn't here understood," Stacie said making eye contact with both girls who nodded. They all got out of the car and before Beca could walk away Emily grabbed her arm making sure Stacie had just continued into school.
"Have you thought about what I said last night?" Emily asked.
"I don't know. I don't know if it's best what if it doesn't work. What if we are shipped off to different parts of the country,"
"That's why we have to do it now, Addy is literally in the basement bleeding out as we speak. I haven't been down their but you have. Do you think if someone went down their now and saw it they would say Addy's faking? I don't think so. I reckon you could also show evidence under the baggy clothes," Emily said knowing Beca was always more hurt then she would be letting on too.
"I mean no they wouldn't but what happens to us?"
"That's why I want to do this the right way, work out where we can all go so we stay around here with our friends and stay near together as we can possibly get. Look you don't have to do this with me just don't tell Stacie. I will be going to Miss Holmes at lunch and talking to her then I think you should come with me. She will believe us, I know. I will wait outside for five minutes before I go in. Please Beca, help me work this out," Emily pleaded hearing the bell go for home room.
"I'll think about it,' Beca said before walking to class. She couldn't stop thinking about it. She had been zoned out all morning thinking of every possible scenario in her head. Annoyingly she had maths class this morning and seeing Miss Holmes give her glances of pity and concern through the lesson was making it difficult to see the clear answer. She could see her teacher had questions but she didn't know how to answer them. Once she was set off on the worksheet she turned to the sanest person she knew to ask for advice.
"Chloe?" Beca asked and the room started filling with noise.
"Beca?" Chloe laughed back not seeing Beca's stern face.
"Can you help me with this hyperthetical question?" Chloe looked at Beca and nodded seeing how she was serious.
"Say you have a problem... and you have been told that the other person who is in the same problem as you are is going to tell someone and they want you to go with them, do you?" Beca rambled and Chloe looked at her confused, she is unsure what is being said.
"Are you the problem? Like someone telling on you?" Chloe asked.
"No like me and the person are on the same... side? I guess?"
"Are they going to go with or without you?"
"Yes, so I don't understand why I need to go as well... Hyperthecially of course." Chloe sat and thought about it trying to work out. Work out what the problem is. And who was the other person. She was banking on it being one of her sisters, just which one. She doubted it was Stacie she is too independant and likes to fix her problems by herself. So that leaves Emily and Addy.
