Both girls made their way to Miss Holmes classroom as the final bell rang. Before they went into the classroom Beca grabbed Emily's arm.
"We can talk later. I want to talk later. I want you to feel as if you are heard. I know it may be crazy at home later tonight, but we will find time. That's if you want yea?" Beca said she hadn't had much time to talk to Emily but Stacie has asked her to fix it. And if Emily went to her friends house and and didn't come home tonight Stacie would freak so it's important that things are on the list to be mended.
"Okay." Emily nodded appreciating the effort that Beca was trying to put in, she also knew that Stacie probably asked her to ask and Stacie would have been the one talking but she was a little busy. As both girls entered after knocking on the room Miss Holmes was sat at her desk working not looking like she was going anywhere.
"Hey girls, I just have to finish up quickly. It will take me like 5 minutes, if that's okay?" Miss Holmes says looking at the girls who just nodded.
"If you have any work you want to do you can or if not and want to speed us up getting out of here you can put all the chairs on the table, which would help. Feel free to put your bags down." The girls nodded and preferred to go home quickly. Beca then approached Miss Holmes desk.
"Miss..." Beca said nervously. Beca didn't get nervous often but the fact she was asking for a favour after she had already done so much for her and her sisters today sacred her. She didn't like being around people for this long. People that didn't know her. And as Miss Holmes was seeing the girls more vulnerable than anyone had in a long time.
"Yea Beca..." Miss Holmes said looking but noticing the unease.
"It's okay if not, but um, Stacie asked if I could pick some stuff up from Pharmacy for Addy on the way back. If that's okay." Beca asked knowing that if it was a no she would just get a taxi from hers and then get the stuff but she didn't know how much longer Addy could wait.
"Yea no that's fine. If you look for where the nearest one is too you I can take you on the way. You're going to have to give me your postcode anyway to find your house." Miss Holmes said and Beca smiled and walked off to help Emily.
After a couple of minutes they were done and just stood on their phones. Beca received a message from Stacie a couple of hours ago but couldn't open it because she actually didn't want to get in any trouble and cause more stress for Stacie to go through. It was a picture of Addy lying in between Stacie's legs asleep in a swimsuit top and a blanket placed on her lower half and a hot water bottle she was hugging along with cuddling into Stacie. Stacie captioned it with the first time Addy had stopped puking and was getting some sleep but was the only way to ensure she wouldn't role on her back was to have her in between Stacie's legs.
Beca: How are things now? You look just as tired as she is and we are just waiting for Miss Holmes to be ready and then we will be going and I will get stuff for Addy's back on the way.
Stacie: She is still asleep. She keeps getting really restless. Like she is having a nightmare, which i keep having to calm her down from. The room stinks so i wouldn't go in here when you get back and thank Miss Holmes a lot. Get her just to drop you at the gates rather than come in. How's Emily?
Beca: She wasn't happy earlier when i saw her. Before I called you Miss Holmes told us it was about Addy as she was ready to walk out and not continue until she found out she was sick. I haven't had the chance to talk to her during the day but i said that me and her could talk tonight if there was time.
Stacie: What do you mean you haven't had time you have had all day. You could have talked to her at lunch in a classroom! Beca I don't know what you think is gonna happen when you get back but I need to sort Addy out and her room, and sort out dinner. And what if mom comes home tonight as school called her, this place is a mess.
