A/N - Sorry taken so long for an update the next one is also coming soon, more of a filler chapter.
Morning came too slowly. All four girls had the morning in their bed. Stacie and Emily had managed to get some sleep. Beca and Addy had got into their rooms unfortunately for Addy not in time enough to get enough sleep. No one walked into Addy's room to make sure she was alright in the morning. Addy didn't hear anyone leave their room. Addy appreciated not having to lie to anyone but it was oddly quiet. Addy waited at the bottom of the stairs with what seemed like a new uniform of baggy hoodie and leggings. Stacie came down and was followed by Emily both seemingly to be dressed normally and hadn't joined the hoodie club. Yet. Addy looked up and tried and failed to not look shocked at Stacie's hair. It had been cut short to just above her shoulders. It had been styled but even then you could still see the not perfect hair cut and it didn't take Stacie telling her who had done it. Addy knew it was better not to say anything. Silence followed as they all got into the car. Stacie and Emily were looking at each other on the drive. Addy didn't think much of it until 1 block away from the school Stacie pulled over the car.
"What are you doing?" Addy asked leaning slightly forward.
"We're gonna talk? Emily and I talked about it and we decided that we needed to talk as a group," Stacie said to her and Emily turned around to face her.
"What do you wanna talk about?" Addy said.
"Addy. We want to know what happened in the basement." Stacie said.
"Oh, that. That's not how we do things." Addy said looking down.
"But that's not how we are going to do things anymore and if Beca was here we would be able to have a conversation with her too but we can't right now," Emily mentioned.
"You know Beca was back in her room this morning if you so desperately wanted to talk to her she was there too,"
"We didn't know and it was early this morning, we wanted to make sure she was going to sleep," Stacie said looking at Emily. Addy rolled her eyes seeing the lie.
"If you so want to talk how about you start?" Addy said smiling sweetly. Game, set, point. Emily looked at Stacie asking what should she say.
"We're you older sisters, what we are asking is to protect you to help you," Stacie said.
"Beca is older than Emily, two can play that game," Addy smiled, "I think we shouldn't be making any decisions without Beca and I also don't think it's fair you corner me before school." Addy opened the car door.
"Addy we think this is for the best" Emily called.
"Okay, you wanna talk about your new haircut?" Addy said one leg out the door, she felt bad for bringing it up but if they wanted to make her relive everything then she would make them realise that they would too. Stacie turned back around in her chair to face the front and touched her now short hair. Emily looked at Stacie and waited in silence.
"Yeah I didn't think so," Addy said before fully getting out of the car and walking around back to school. She slammed the door and Emily and Stacie sighed.
"Stacie it's okay, we will talk with everyone later, yeah?" Emily comforted.
"Yeah sure," Stacie started the car and drove round to the school.
Addy entered the school building and made her way around to home room. She was hopefully maybe Miss Holmes would have another free period today and maybe she could sleep. It would mean missing one of her classes but maybe she could get away with it. When she arrived she was early and knocked and entered.
