Stacie, Beca, Emily and Addy arrived late to school as per usual according to Stacie who told Addy it would increase her popularity. To Addy being late had no connection to being popular but she wasn't going to argue.
"How nice of you to grace us with you presence, Addy? Wondered when you would make your appearance." Miss Holmes spoke calmly as Addy gave a small smile and went to go sit at the back with Isla and Morgan.
"Sorry I'm late Miss. Oh no worries Addy, thanks for apologising!" Miss Holmes replied sarcastically.
"Sorry." Addy mumbled.
"No worries, " Miss Holmes replied with a smile.
Everyone in the room was talking between themselves minding their own business when the bell rang signalling to go to the next class.
"If you are in my maths class which I know some of you are could you stand at the back until everyone is here. And, you know, I want to make sure no one turns up late to my class." Miss Holmes said directing the last comment at Addy who smiled and moved to stand at the back with Morgan as Isla left to go to her own class.

Addy has more classes with Morgan than she did Isla but part of her, which she would, of course, never admit, liked that. She wanted to get to know Morgan now that she was hanging out with them, it was probably best that they became friends. Addy hadn't found out much about Morgan at all yesterday. She didn't speak very much at all. Well, if Isla was around you couldn't say much anyway, but Addy still likes having her around. However, Addy really wanted to get to know Morgan, and this was the perfect opportunity.

After everyone had stood at the back she started seating people down. Luckily, Addy was seated next to Morgan. Addy thought it was a good idea for many reasons. One, she wanted to get to know Morgan better. Two, Addy wasn't aware that Morgan knew anyone else in the school and it would be nice for her to be with a friend. Three, Addy wouldn't have to deal with any people which look to her in admiration.

When Miss Holmes began talking to the class, Addy pulled out her phone under the table as Morgan shot her a concerned look. Addy began texting her sister requesting if Morgan could come round after school. Addy made a mental note to ask Morgan if she wanted to.
"Addy?" Miss Holmes asked and all eyes where on her.
"Yes?" Addy looked up trying to act like she wasn't texting during class.
"Answer. To the question." Miss Holmes stood with a smirk knowing that Addy wouldn't know the answer.
"3" Morgan mumbled with her hand over her mouth so only Addy would notice.
"3" Addy said with smile.
"Yes. See me after class though, Addy." Miss Holmes said with a smirk and Addy put her phone in her pocket and turned to Morgan.

"Thanks, for helping me."
"No problem. It's what friends do, right?" Morgan smiled.
"So, we are friends!" Addy gleamed.
"Sure." Morgan said getting back to the Maths lesson.

Addy looked back down at her maths book and began drawing on her book. She never understood maths but she wasn't really bad at it surprisingly. And the drawing helped her understand it. She would remember the drawing and then remembered the lesson.

The end of lesson bell rang and Morgan said she would wait outside.
"Phone." Miss Holmes said not looking up from whatever she was writing and held out her hand.
"What?" Addy questioned believing she had gotten away with it.
"Put your phone in my hand and it will stay with me til the end of the day." Miss Holmes continued without looking up and writing what ever she was doing.
"Excuse me?" Miss Holmes finally put down her pen and stared up at Addy.
"Addy I know you were texting in my class. I'm not an idiot. Now many teachers think you are a bad kid without knowing you probably like I hope to do. But if you break the rules e.g text in my class you have to give me your phone for the rest of the day."
Addy huffed and pulled out her phone and put it in her hand.
"Thank you. Come to me at the end of the day and I won't put it on the system." Miss Holmes said.
"Thank you and it won't happen again. Sorry." Addy said on her way out.
