The end of Addy's maths class meant lunch. Addy hadn't talked to Morgan throughout the whole class and Morgan didn't reply with anything other than yes or no. She was blunt and Addy was confused. Addy got up to go follow and talk to Morgan and catch her as she was leaving, Miss Holmes stood in the way.
"You sit!" Miss Holmes said making sure that she doesn't go again.
"But Miss please..." Addy started before she was cut off.
"No sit maybe next time you will think your actions more."
"Fucks sake!" Addy mumbled slamming her bag on the floor and sitting down aggressively.
"That's it! The attitude needs to stop! I don't know what's happened with you over the weekend but you've got some explaining to do. And it's not like we are pressured for time. We got half and hour now and another lot later." Addy looked at Miss Holmes then her lap she was sat slouched on the chair. She fiddled with her fingers not wanting to talk. As she can't talk about it.
"I mean go ahead sit in silence but it will be a long waiting game and I'm giving you this opportunity which others haven't I'm letting you explain why this but if you don't then I will have to go with that you are being disrespectful for no reason and that I will not tolerate and I will be taking harsher action." The silence continued and then Addy shrugged. Even though the gesture was small Miss Holmes saw a glimpse of who Addy was before. There definitely something wrong with Addy something had happened.
"Why didn't you come yesterday?" Miss Holmes asked trying to get the ball rolling with something.
"I was...um busy last night. I had to go home." Addy said Miss Holmes looked at her knowing that this was a bunch of bullshit.
"Okay, so if that did happen why didn't you tell me?"
"Because I only knew on the way out of school?" Addy said still not looking at Miss Holmes.
"That sounds more like a question!" Addy shrugged, not knowing what to say, she didn't actually want to be rude or even like this but having the power of not caring got to her head she enjoyed everyone talking to her. Kind of.
"You going tonight?" Addy shrugged knowing it was a no.
"And why not? Another thing that's gonna come up? We are trying to help you Addy! You didn't mind it before this weekend? We were helping? You were doing well? So what happened? Or are you just giving up? Cause your clearly lying? So what's the excuse today?" Miss Holmes went on.
"Stop" Addy mumbled.
"So what happened over the weekend?"
Silence
"You know you can talk to me. I'm here if you need to talk."
"I can't do after school anymore. My mom doesn't want me to." Addy said with no emotion or enthusiasm. She had started to feel dizzy and more in pain. She shouldn't be learning so hard on her back.
"Why doesn't she want you do?" Addy shrugged.
"You know when you shrug I know you know." Miss Holmes said looking directly at her.
"Because she fucking said so!" Addy said getting snappy leaning forward, she moved to fast and sent a wave of lightheadedness through her and her head banging head she holds her head and gasps in pain.
"Addy you can talk without swearing you don't have to be like this!" Addy grunted a response.
"Why doesn't she want you to come after school?" Miss Holmes asks looking at Addy worried.
"Because...she doesn't...she is gonna..."
"Addy are you alright?"
"Yea I just don't... feel to well. She is gonna get me a tutor or something instead." Addy said thinking of a lie but can't get over the fact that the room is spinning.
"Okay but we could still help." Miss Holmes says slowly getting up and walking towards Addy worried as she suddenly feels ill.
"I know talk to her about it tell her I'm not going... do what you want just let me go. Please let me go." Addy said getting up and grabbing her stuff. As Miss Holmes suddenly concerned why she was told to let go when she wasn't holding her in, which made Miss Holmes question if someone is.
As Addy went to reach for the handle and fainted falling to the floor. Miss Holmes rushed over and went down to her. Addy twitched her eyes open confused what was happening.
"Addy it's okay. You just fainted. I gonna take you to medical. Can you walk?" Miss Holmes said unsure that she is meant to be walking but needed to send the girl home. Addy nodded unsure of what had just gone on.

When they arrived Miss Holmes explained to the nurse what had happened and she said she would call her mother which cause Addy's heart race to increase she has also called Stacie down to the nurses office, Miss Holmes knowing how close they are thought it would help her calm down. The bell for the period had started but Miss Holmes had asked another teacher to cover her class so she could stay with Addy.
"Your mom says she is stuck at work and says that you could get on with the school day and get you checked out after school." The nurse came in and informed the others.
"She needs to go home or to the doctors now. She's still looks faint and is in a lot of pain. She can't stay here." Miss Holmes interjects.
"I'm fine." Addy says weakly and not convincingly.
"I can take her home, I'll take her to the doctors now!" Stacie says and everyone is concerned, about Addy but wondering if they will let Stacie leave too.
"I'll catch up on the work I swear, I will email my teachers and get them to sent it over, please will you tell me teachers?" Stacie said pleading with Miss Holmes. The thing that scared Miss Holmes is that it seemed like Stacie knew what was wrong. But that could be her being paranoid she wasn't sure.
"I can't just let you go that's not what I can do. I don't have that permission to give Stacie. I could always take her home? Or the hospital?"
"No!" Stacie was quick to interrupt the bruises would cause suspicion and she couldn't have that. Miss Holmes grew further concern by sudden answer.
"She can't really be left home alone like this. And I'm not leaving her in a hospital alone. And if you can't make the decision I need to talk to someone that can?" Stacie said and the nurse went off to go and see the head.
"Ads lay down. Okay I got you squirt." Stacie says stroking her head, which was know dripping with sweat.
"I can't it hurts." Addy says starting to cry again. Suddenly she went from fine to crying her back was killing her. She know had the shakes and was sweating. She wanted to lie down but can't without being in so much pain, it wasn't but she was able to do.
"Shhhh, it's okay." Stacie came and held Addy letting  her learn on her shoulder trying to get her to stop crying and warm up slightly. Suddenly Addy got up and ran to the disabled Toilet, and threw up multiple time both Miss Holmes and Stacie followed her in. Stacie held her hair back which gave her familiar flash back from the other night.

Suddenly the nurse appeared and said the principal was outside and she would have to go and talk to her. Stacie looked annoyed and worried.
"Go, I've got her. You go see if they will let you go. It's okay?" Miss Holmes squeezed Stacie arm giving her a reassuring smile. Stacie nods and leaves and Miss Holmes grabs Addy hair and takes the place. She goes to touch Addy's back and Addy winces in pain.  Addy was violently throwing up every no and then and shivering cold and then sweating too.
"Do u want to take off your jacket? I know your cold but a leather cropped jacket is probably getting in the way more?" Miss Holmes said and Addy nodded. Miss Holmes was wearing a zip up hoodie and started taking it off.
"Look take my hoodie it's more comfortable and you should be less cold." Miss Holmes smiles helping Addy with hers. She looks at her T-shirt which seems stuck to her back. Originally she looks and thinks it's sweat. But then sees marks like scratches all across her back all over. She doesn't know if it's sweat or worse. In Miss Holmes eyes it's looks bad like someone has hit her across the back. If only Miss Holmes knew. She helped Addy out on her hoodie, not excepting to get it back today.
Stacie came back in and said that she was allowed to go the principal stood on the door way seeing the state Addy was in knowing it was best she went to see a doctor. She wished her a get well soon and Miss Holmes helped Stacie take her to Stacie's car.
"I will give her stuff and her phone to Beca and explain what's happening to both her and Emily. My jacket just keep until you next come in it's better that you get her check out in a hospital but I'll explain to your sisters." Miss Holmes said to Stacie when they were stood outside the car with Addy inside.
"Shit. Em and Beca, Beca hasn't passed her driving test and even if she didn't she doesn't have a car here."
"Oh, it's fine I'll give them a ride home if that's what you need." Miss Holmes suggested wanting to be helpful.
"No I can come get them at the end just tell them to text me."
"Don't be silly you need to stay with Addy and make sure she is okay. And if you go to the hospital you don't know how long you will be there for. Don't worry about it I will drive them. Okay? Just focus on her."
"Thank you so much! We owe you a lot." Stacie said getting into the car.
"Just keep me update!" Miss Holmes said as Stacie got in the car and drove away. There was a lot more that the girls weren't saying and today confirmed that!
