Dear Miss Rayon,
I'm sorry that this letter is not going to be what you want it to be. I tried truly to write the truth but the truth unfortunately is too big to put in a letter. And don't get me to then say it to your face as I'm afraid I can't do that either. You see I did change because something happened but I can't say what that thing is. I thought I wasn't strong enough to handle what happened as me and it turns out that even if I change fully I am still not strong enough. I tried to put up a wall but unfortunately, I became mean and someone I didn't even like and it was a lot more effort than I thought it would be. I am so sorry that I was rude to you, and as an apology, I decided not to lie to you about this. Both because I think you would see right through it and because I'm trying to make it up to you. Thank you for everything you have done and I really can't continue to go to your lessons but I will keep all the tips you taught me. I also appreciate you saying if I need anything that your door is open but don't hold your breath on me coming through.
Thank you,
Addy
Dear Addy,
I thank you for the letter and yes it wasn't want I wanted it to be, I can appreciate that it's difficult to tell the truth. You shouldn't have to keep everything to yourself it doesn't make you weak at all to ask for help. And if it's any consolation I believe you are strong and brave and a lot smarter than you think you are.
Miss Ranyon.
Addy stared at the letter she had been given after her class today after her handed in hers first thing in the morning. She hadn't expected to get one back and was unsure how to react to it. It was 3 in the morning and she was still trying to complete her homework. She had been given one in every class and was struggling to understand her work. By this point, she was tired and hungry and had spent the last hour staring at her letter. She had excepted that she wasn't going to get finished by morning when the door opened.
"Good morning stupid." Addy hang her head in shame, she slowly folded her letter under the table not wanting to draw attention to it.
"I have decided I will not punish myself to teach you a lesson, So I will be going to sleep. I will lock this door behind me and leave you here to work until the morning. If I see you have gone to sleep you best prepare to be in trouble." She turned around and started to leave.
"What if I don't finish all my work by the morning?" Addy asked nervously.
"I guess you will be in a long night tomorrow as well. I am willing to keep you up until your work is done. I expect your school work to still improve however and not be lacking. Don't go seeking pity from anyone, trust me you won't find it." Her mother had moved closer and closer to Addy as she went on. Addy had pushed the letter up and under the table, she can't have her mother find it.
"I don't know how my work is going to improve if I'm sleep-deprived," Addy mumbled not being able to help herself. In response Her mother backhanded her and as usual, caught her ring in her cheek. Luckily the cut wasn't big and would easily be able to play it off as tripping or walking into a wall. Addy reached up and wiped the blood from her cheek.
"You know how I hate the mumbling." Their mother groaned and slammed the door on her way out. Addy heard the lock turning and sighed.
"Why couldn't I just keep my mouth shut." Addy sighed and got back to trying to do work she slid her letter in her pocket. Maybe she wasn't as smart as Miss Ranyon thought she was. Their mother walked upstairs and saw Stacie sat by Addy's door waiting for her.
"What are you doing awake?" Their mother asked and Stacie stood up.
"I was just waiting for Adelaide." Stacie said stepping forward.
