"Hi, everyone!I'm Miss Holmes and I am going to be your tutor for the next 4 years, so if you have any issues please come to me and talk about it. And as I new to the school too, we an find our place here together. I don't mind where you sit but if you don't listen when I ask or it gets to loud after i have already warned you then I am going to have to assign sits okay?" Every one nodded and sat down excited, taking quick glances seeing who was in there class.
Addy and Isla take seats at the back of the room. So they don't get all the attention yet. Miss Holmes quiets everyone down as she attempts to take the register asking people if they want there names shortened to anything reasonable she adds before anyone can come up with random names. She seems nice enough. She fairly tall with dark hair and a decent fashion sense which is good for a teacher. And extremely young.
As she goes through the register and paces Isla's name getting closer to Addy and is nervous how every one will respond.
"Adelaide Mitchell" She calls looking up from her computer screen looking to match a face with the name and the class erupts into conversation as people realize they are in a tutor with a Mitchell sister. Addy slowly raises her hand, signalling to the teacher who she was and all eyes are on her as Miss Holmes make the class quiet.
"Do you shorten your name Adelaide?" Miss Holmes asks.
"Yes, Addy." Miss Holmes scribbles it down on her piece of paper, then looks up at Addy.
"And Addy if you don't mind me asking why did your name cause every one to break out into conversation?" Miss Holmes questions filled with pure curiosity. And before Addy responds another girl answers.
"She is the last Mitchell sister." Miss thinks silently for a moment.
"I'm new to the school as well as you lot but clearly you have more of an understanding of whats going on because what is a Mitchell sister and why is it so important?" Miss Holmes says, only remembering over hearing a teacher warning another teacher about the Mitchell sister. She also faintly remembers a teacher wishing her luck with the Mitchell sisters. Addy agrees it is not as much of a big deal as every one is making it out to be. And before Addy can speaks again a different girl interjects.
"There the most popular girls in school. There is now one in each year and she is the last one. And she is in our Tutor and my brother says if your friends with one one them that is your popularity ticket right there. They get invited to everything. And if they come to your house or your party then it is like a giant sign of respect from them like the best thing that could happen in your high school life." The girl ,who Addy didn't know the name of but guessed the girl will introduced to her in due time, finished. She seemed so excited and it matched most people in the classes expression.
"Seems like you're quite popular Miss Mitchell. 3 older sisters then. I probably teach at least another one." There was a small pause as she typed on her computer. " How lucky I teach all 4 of you maths. Well lets not bomb bared the poor girl. That is quite a reputation already Miss Mitchell. People already seem to worship you. Be careful with all that power. And in future I think Miss Mitchell can answer questions for her self. Any advice Addy on how to deal with all four of you?" Miss Holmes stopped, though out her speech she seemed to side with Addy on the fact it shouldn't be much of a big deal. And Addy already knew that she liked Miss Holmes. And believed that the majority of the things that she had said where intended as a joke.
"The best thing I could say is good luck. Because with them you are going to need it." Addy said smiling and Miss Holmes responded with a small laugh, enjoying the girls humor.
"And you? What would they say?" Miss Holmes said.
"I guess you'll have to ask them." Addy said and Miss responded with a smile, knowing that she would get along with this child and that was one of the four Mitchell sisters down. As she carries on with the register Addy knows that she will be surrounded as soon as they leave the class or get a change to move.
