You woke up feeling Hunter kissing your lips softly, "Wake up baby, I have stuff planned.."

You groaned playfully like you didn't want to get up, "Come on, babe. You'll love it, promise." You opened one eye to see him smiling,

"Is there coffee involved?"

He chuckled, "Of course, how could I deny my princess her coffee." He brushed the hair out of your face, kissing your lips once more, "Come on, time to get up." He left the room and you heard the bathroom door shut as you sat up in bed.

Once the both of you were dressed for the day, he led you out of the apartment and to the car. "Hunter, where are we going?"

"You'll see, but first, breakfast." He drove to the place you first met him at, the Pancake Pantry.

When you arrive a slight mist greets you as you step out of the car, everything smells sweet. The fall leaves no longer crunch under your feet they are wet. You take Hunter's hand as you walk into the restaurant.

Inside, Hunter pulls out your chair for you and you take your seat, smiling big. He's always so sweet like that. You order the potato pancakes. Hunter orders the Georgia peach pancakes. Hunter looks you in the eye as the waiter walks away. "Don't even think about it babe." He knows about your soft spot for peaches.

"We'll see," you reply, mischievously.

"So, do you know what today is?"

Your mind is completely blank. You think a minute then shake your head.

"Today is the anniversary of the day I first saw you."

You are confused. "No that's next week."

"Well, since it's been 2 years I figured I couldn't scare you now... I saw you for the first time somewhere other than this, I was too nervous to talk to you."

"So, where did you see me?"

Hunter gets a far off look in his eye. "You were sitting in the sun, in the park with the fountain. You were wearing a light tank top and combat boots, you were completely absorbed in a book.

You can't remember, but you used to do that a lot, when you were on your own, before Hunter.

"I... I kind of followed you here. I came here every day to see if I'd ever see you again, I kicked myself for not introducing myself right away."

You smile as Hunter looks bashfully at his hands. "The next time I saw you I knew I had to talk to you, I had to find out who you were."

You reach out and take Hunter's hand. "I am so glad you did."

Hunter locks eyes with yours, a slow smile breaks out over his face as the food arrives at the table. You smirk at him as you see the peaches atop his pancakes. He glares playfully at you, making you giggle and a grin appear on his face. The both of you eat contentedly though the sound of rain makes its way to your ears.

He looks out the window and sighs, "I was hoping it would be dry today."

"It's okay, Hunter. As long as I'm with you, I'm just fine." He grins and once he's finished you see a lone peach on his plate.

You give him a sly grin, "Who's that for?"

"A little thief." He winks and you reach over with your fork, grabbing the peach. He chuckles as he sees you pop it into your mouth. "Now, are we ready?" You nod happily as he takes your hand and leads you out of the restaurant back to the car.

The rain pounds steadily on the roof of the car. You didn't expect rain and you took the umbrellas out of the car last night. "Walmart?" Hunter suggests.

Honestly you would be fine just going back to your place and cuddling on the couch with a blanket, but Hunter has other things in mind. "Okay." You agree.

The rain only gets harder as Hunter pulls the car into a parking spot. "Let's make a run for it!" You both unbuckle and throw the car doors open, you scream as the cold water hits you. Running to the back end of the car Hunter finds your hand and together you start running towards the entrance. By the time you duck out of the rain you are soaked to the bone.

"I think we negated the need for an umbrella." You say through a fit of laughter and shivering.

Hunter shakes like a dog, sending water showering down on the floor, he slicks back his hair on top of his head. Then he grins at you. "Want to do that again?"

"No!" You laugh. Hunter brushes a strand of hair behind your ear. The contact of his hand makes you shiver again. You have the sudden urge to kiss the smirk off of his face. But you decide to save that for later, when there are no security cameras on you.

"Umbrellas!" You break the trance and turn, walking swiftly into the store.

A half an hour later you are pulling Hunter away from the music section. He's trying to convince you to let him buy some high tech device that he desperately needs but didn't know existed until today.

"Honestly Hunter, you're like a spoiled little child when it comes to music!"
He sticks his lip out and gives you the puppy dog eyes.

You laugh and poke him in the side, ruining his attempt to weaken your decision. "Come on," you beckon. "I thought you had a day planned for us... unless that day involved bumming around Wally World shouldn't we get a move on."

"Right." Hunter sets off with a glint in his eye.

You sigh and look at the gear that had captivated Hunter's attention. You calculate how long it'll take you to buy it for him. You smile to yourself and set out after Hunter, maybe you'll surprise him with this as a gift sometime soon. He'll like that.

He leads you out of Wal-Mart, the new umbrella high above the both of your heads as he walks to the car, fingers laced with yours.

"Are you going to tell me what your planning?"

"Nope!" He chuckles, the both of you getting into the car and speeding away to wherever Hunter has planned.

You see familiar sights and he stops at a park, parking the car. You both get out, walking the road up a bit to see that you were at love circle. It was a Nashville attraction because it had a very good view of downtown. He lead you up on to the hill and you smiled seeing the buildings. He brought you up here once before on one of the first dates you went on with him. For a while you just stare at the misty haze over the city, created by the ebbing rain.

"This is one of my favorite views." You sigh breathlessly, leaning on Hunter's shoulder.

"Mine too." He agrees.

"Oh, I got you something." He releases your hand and goes for his pocket. He pulls out the most beautiful diamond necklace you have ever seen, the pendent hangs on a delicate gold chain. Hunter fastens it around your neck. Then he stands back to look at it.

"It's so beautiful!" You tell him.

"Yes, yes it is." You raise your eyes to find him, not staring at the necklace, but at you.

"Stop it!" You giggle.

"Stop what?" The smirk is back again and you can't help yourself. You take two steps forward and hold onto both sides of Hunter's head. You kiss him with all of the passion you can muster. He responds in kind, arms encircling your waist and pulling you as close as he can get you. Just as you start to relax and the kiss grows sweet you feel yourself start to slip on the wet ground. Hunter must feel it too because he lets out s sharp sound of surprise. You both slip on the incline and end up on the ground, Hunter broke your fall.

"Are you alright?" You implore, trying to slide off of him to check if he's alright.

Instead, though, his arms tighten around you. "I'm fine." He reassures, "just come here." He pulls you back down to meet his mouth.

Grass stains, and soaking wet skin forgotten you close your eyes, enjoying the funny happenings, the awkward moments, and the soft kisses.
