Hunter's POV
I was in the middle of coffee house when Dan popped his head in, "Hunter..we need you." I saw he was pale and was speaking seriously, "uh...guys, I'm gonna be back..if not, I'll make it up to you guys." They all nodded and I walked out with Dan, "What's going on, Dan?"

He swallowed hard and sighed, "Hunter, (y/n) was in a car accident.."

I froze and my eyes widened, "What?.."

"It happened thirty minutes ago and you have to get to the hospital."

"Is she dying?"

"I haven't got word.."

I nodded and hurrying out to the car.

"Please don't let it be too late." I whisper as my foot hits the accelerator, ignoring the signs and speed limit, I can't seem to get to her fast enough. What was she doing driving? I look down at the band on my left hand and blink back a tear. One year tomorrow. The thought hits me like a ton of bricks. It's been the best year of my life, the best part. She is the best part. "Please don't let it be too late." I say again as I pull into the hospital parking lot. My ears ring and body throbs as I jump out of the car, not even stopping to turn it off or shut the door. I sprint up the steps and make a b-line for the front desk. Then I hear a familiar voice say my name and I turn. It's her mother.

"Thank goodness you're here." She gasps and throws her arms around you.

"How is she?" I ask, pulling away so I can see her face. "Is she..."

Her eyes fill with fresh tears.

I suck in a breath, "She's.."

Her mother shakes her head, "No...the doctor said she's stable but the baby...they weren't sure." Tears fill my eyes. The baby? We could loose our child? Her mom pulls me into a hug and I hug her too. We stay huddled in the waiting room as family members and friends call and show up. The show even disappears from my mind until the guys show up. I suddenly feel awful for the fans but I need to be here with (y/n).

Sam leads the guys over to us and he frowns, "How is she?"

I sigh raggedly, "She's in surgery..they don't know about the baby."

He frowns, "I'm sorry man.."

I nod and the doctor comes into the waiting room, "Mr. Hayes?"

I stand and nod, "Yes?"

"We're going to deliver the baby prematurely. It's up to how strong the baby is as if they die or not." I nodded with a shaky breath, "Would you like to be in there and hold the baby?"

"Please.."

"It's a girl!" The doctor calls. "Would you like to cut the cord?" The doctor holds out the scissor like tool to me and I take it gently. I can do this. One look at my beautiful wife laying motionless on the table weakened my resolve to help but I cannot shirk back now. I clip the area designated and try not to freak out. There is no sound from the baby.

"What's wrong?"

"I think we should let the doctors figure that out."

"What's happening???" I shout and a couple nurses start to pull me from the room.

The baby still doesn't cry. My daughter makes no noises, my wife doesn't move and I make up for both. Out in the hall I sink to my knees and sob.

Her mom runs over to me, "Hunter? Hunter, what's happened?" I can barely speak..the thought of losing the people I love most in my life is unbearable. She helps me to my feet and I hug her, "Hunter?" She pulls away and
