Secret Love Without The Secret (sequel to last imagine)

After the year of hiding your secret relationship having Hunter escort you to his car feels too good to be true. He smirks as someone snaps a picture of the two of you, you couldn't help it, there was an amount of surprise that registered on your face. Hunter holds the door of his car open for you and you slide in. He gets in and starts the engine, he keeps smiling at you and then his attention drifts back to the road.

"Eyes on the road Hayes!" You giggle.

"Sorry, I can't help it. It's so great to see you."

"I know. It's great to see you too."

"So what's new?"

You laugh at his question. He has no idea how much attention you've gotten in the last month. "Well you were right."

"About what?"

"I wasn't ready to deal with the publicity of our relationship."

He looks at you with a face full of panic.

"But I adapted." You slide your hand over his knee.

He sighs with relief, "You scared me.."

You giggle and lean over, kissing his cheek. "I love you, Hayes. Told you nothing would change that."

He puts his hand on yours that's on his knee, "Yeah, you did." He grins, looking to the road.

You giggle and look out the window, "What?" He says and you look back at him, "Is this crazy?"

He laughs and nods, "A little bit, but the good kind. I like that kind." He winks and you laugh, squeezing his hand. You look to the road, humming softly along to the radio. Out of the corner of your eye, he grins making you blush as the car pulls onto the restaurant's parking lot. "Ready?"

"As I'll ever be."

The restaurant is a nice one and your eyes take a moment to adjust to the dim lighting. Hunter steps up to the hostess station and gives his name. They seem to recognize him and you ignore the once over you receive from the women who seats you. Hunter smiles at you and you bite the inside of your cheek.

"What? Are you nervous?"

"Well... Yes and no."

"Okay?"

"Excited to meet your parents. Afraid I'm not good enough for you."

"I can put your mind at ease right now and answer your worries. Yes you are, too good for me actually." He reaches out and grabs your hand in his, holding it tightly.

"But you hid me for a year... From everyone."

"Actually... Not everyone." He smiles over your shoulder and stands to embrace his mom. You are about to introduce yourself when she turns to you.

"(Y/n) it's so nice to finally meet you! He hasn't stopped talking about you since you met!"

You smile at her, "It's amazing to finally meet you, ma'am." She laughs and pulls you into an embrace.

Hunter smiles at the both of you and then hugs his dad. Leo turns to you and smiles, "(y/n) it's a pleasure. Maybe we'll finally know why he talks about you so much." You blush and smile at Hunter, who himself was blushing. Hunter smiles as his parents sit and you're sitting with Lynette. You feel relieved that they know of you and shocked to know that they've known about you for a year.

"So, from what Hunter tells us, You're just out of college..what was your major?"

"Culinary arts actually, I'm working on finding a job right now." You are quite proud of the fact and can't keep that pride out of your voice.
