You are sitting at a table in a restaurant, waiting for your date to show up. You are not normally one who goes for blind dates but your friend promised that this guy was really nice. It's been a half hour and no ones has shown up. You fidget and keep peeking at the door, feeling more and more foolish. You've been stood up, you are ready to leave when a shadow moves over you.

"Hey, are you here by your self?" You look up and see a guy with electric blue eyes.

"Apparently."

"Would you mind if I join you?"

"Um, sure... Be my guest."

He takes the seat across from you.

You smile at him.

"I'm Hunter."

"(Y/n)."

He smiles, "Why are you here alone, if I may ask?"

You bite your lip before answering, "Blind date. My friend wants to set me up, I wonder if it's for her satisfaction of being a matchmaker or me being happy."

He laughs, making you giggle. He has a very sweet laugh but it's a very contagious laugh. "Your giggle is cute."

You blush and he does to, him in surprise of his confidence and you because no one near as attractive as him had ever given you a compliment as sweet as that.

"So why are you here alone?... If you don't mind me asking."

"I had a sudden urge for s piece of pie, this place has fantastic pie you know."

You grin back at him. "Yes, the best is the coconut cream, but their special is cookies and cream."

"Oh that's awesome. Well I'm sold."

He lays the dessert menu aside as the waitress walks up. He lets me order first, just pie and coffee. You may have been ready to go on a blind date but you weren't going to sit there for a whole meal.

When the waitress leaves Hunter leans over the table. "So, why were you ready to go on a blind date?"

You look at him like he's crazy but his eyes dance with amusement.

"Because I got tired of fending off her attacks and listening to her say 'you need to get married already' and 'what are you still doing single' so I finally agreed to go on one to get her off my back."

"And now what are you going to so?"

"I'm gonna go back to my friend and tell her how disastrous this was."

"Gee thanks."

"Oh not you! You're the best thing about this day." You smile as the waitress brings your pie and coffee and his.

He watches you with amusement in his eyes, "What?"

"I've never had this movie moment, let me just take it in."

"Movie moment?"

"Coffee and pie...and oh look it's raining." You look out the window and see it raining softly then it starts to pour. You hear Hunter's contagious laughter and start to laugh yourself.

"We're having a movie moment." You repeat.

"Well at least it's correct, I have a beautiful girl here with me enjoying coffee and pie." He says bringing his mug to his lips. You couldn't help but notice his Adam's apple move and you bit your lip. Was anything not attractive about Hunter?

You blush and look down at your fork, you were staring and he caught you.

As you eat you enter into a smooth conversation. It's amazing how easy it is talking to him about anything. He looks intently while you are talking then answers with wit and enthusiasm.
