Your POV
You lie awake in bed and you can't sleep without Hunter popping into your head. You loved him though he was one of your best friends and you were scared to tell him. You sighed, thinking that it wasn't going to happen. There were other girls more pretty and more special than you, besides who wouldn't love him? There was a fanbase that loved him forever and more. You sighed, turning over onto your side, thinking about things that wouldn't happen. How it would be to marry him, to kiss him in the middle of a sentence and throw him off, to just have him hold you tight at night as you're about to fall asleep. To run your hands through his hair to calm him after a late night in the studio, to rub his shoulders or back to take the stress away...you wanted all of that. Though, he would never feel the same way as you did. That was the truth, though it was very hard to face when every time you closed your eyes, his face would be behind your eyelids.

Hunter's POV
I don't know what's going on. The last few weeks have just felt so surreal. Tonight at the restaurant with everyone was even stranger. She was staring at me again, with a defeated look. No matter what I said she wouldn't smile. She looked almost terrified. I look at the most recent picture of the two of us, taken at a picnic with the band and their families. Of course she was there, she is family too. I fall back on my pillow and sigh. I never meant to fall for her, it just happened. I loved how she laughed when I made a fool of myself, how she always asked about what I was thinking, which most of the time I had to lie about because I was thinking of her. With her everything was natural, easy, simple. But that was it, she never could feel the same way. She was to amazing to fall for a music loving, socially awkward guy like me. I think about making coffee... I think about walking to the nearest coffee shop. Tonight is already chalked up as a sleepless night, what was wrong with her tonight? Is she okay?

Your POV
You sigh and sit up from tossing and turning. Earlier tonight you almost brought it up but decided against it, terrified of his answer, terrified of losing him. With his facial expressions, you knew he could see how you felt. Most of the time, you could be read like an open book and you didn't like that sometimes. He tried to make you smile but it didn't work. You stood from the bed, not caring you were in sweatpants and his old t-shirt, and grabbed your keys. You needed coffee if you were going to be up all night..again, thinking about him. You drove to the local coffee shop that had but the one lone car there and parked, going inside. You were quite the regular here and the girl behind the counter nodded, telling you to take a seat. You walked over to the end booth against the window, siding into your seat. You had come here a lot with Hunter and this was your regular table. You twiddled your fingers and sighed, Hunter never parting from your brain. You groaned and ran a hand through your hair till your elbow rested on the table with your hand on your cheek.

Hunter's POV
Even though it's summer there's a slight chill that reaches under my jacket. I duck my head and pull my black cap down over my eyes. I know the way to this shop like the back of my hand. Finally I am pushing the door open and hearing the reassuring ring of the bell overhead that signifies my arrival. The place is pretty much deserted, of course it is. It's too late... Or is it early for anyone sane to be awake. The women behind the counter seems half asleep and I order an espresso, why not? Then I chip in the money to pay for a drink for her as well. After all I have more money than I know what to do with. I turn to sit at our booth, her's and mine. Then I freeze, blink, and stare. She's sitting right there, hair a mess, jean jacket thrown over a red tee that looks familiar and gray sweatpants. The fuzzy slippers make you smile. Why does she have to be so cute? She stares out the window and she looks exhausted. The women yells my name and she snaps to attention. Her eyes lock with mine and I give her a shy wave.
"What are you doing up so ridiculously late?" I ask.
"I could ask the same if you." She says, her face unreadable.
"I felt like coffee." I joke as I hold up my cup.
"You always feel like coffee." She smiles a bit and I laugh. Nervously, I join her, sliding into my booth across from her.
