Toboe's P.O.V.

I left the old man before he woke up. He'll be okay now. I wonder where the others are, I'm following their scent but there's no sign of them. I am in a rocky area, there's a path through it while rock walls were on each side. I stop and turn back. "Huh?" I think out loud. I swear I heard horses...maybe I'm just imagining it. I turn towards the direction I'm headed in and walk a few steps. I stop again and look back. I heard it again... I cautiously take another step followed by me stopping again. I definitely heard it that time! As I'm thinking that, two horses, with two Native Americans with bows and arrows appear. They load an arrow in their bows and aim at me. My eyes widen just as the arrows are launched, and I can't stop myself from calling for help.

Yuna's P.O.V.

Toboe's howl catches my attention. My eyes widen. "Toboe!" I yell before sprinting off as wolf. Tsume and Hige following right behind me. I'm the first to slide over the corner, two Native Americans had Toboe cornered. Before I knew it, I was wolf, and jumping in front of him. I snarl angrily and glare at the humans. "Yuna..." I hear Toboe whisper shocked. One of the humans aim at me, while the other aims at Toboe, just as Tsume and Hige round the corner, see this, and jump at the humans, knocking them from their horse, and pinning them to the ground as a humans. Tsume's knife was at one guys throat, while Hige had both hands attached to the other guys shirt. Everyone was silent. Toboe sighs in relief. I continue to growl just in case they tried to attack our pack. "Are you one of Jagara's flunkies? Why is she after us? What the hell does she want?!" Tsume growls, keeping the knife at the guy's throat. "Jagara's?" the Native asks. "She's capturing wolves, and I want to know why." Tsume says. The Native starts laughing, making me growl annoyed, while Tsume and Hige look at each other confused. "What's the deal? Why are you laughing at us?" Toboe asks confused. I growl again. "If you're wolves, you should've just said so in the first place. That's just great, the Elder's gonna have my hide for this..." the Native under Tsume says scratching at his temple. I stop growling and tilt my head slightly. After saying that, we let the Natives go. After the one Tsume had pinned is up, he dusts himself off, and looks towards Toboe and I, settling his eyes on me. I growl. "It's alright, what's your name Brother?" The Native asks me. Brother? I stop growling, tilt my head, and look at Tsume and Hige, Hige was laughing hysterically, while Tsume just shook his head, I turn human. "Do I look like a 'Brother' to you?" is the first thing I say. The Native's eyes widen before he apologizes, and averts his eyes. I roll mine. "Yuna." I say, making the human look at me confused. I sigh. "My name. It's Yuna. This is Toboe, ya know, the one you tried to shoot." I say glaring at the Native. "Ah, sorry about that. You see, some of our friends were attacked last night and we just assumed it was you." The Native says as him and his buddy climb on their horses again, and start walking. We follow. "Well it wasn't." Tsume says. "I know, it couldn't have been wolves. For one thing they used guns. Besides we of the Mong Tribe believe in wolves. In their existence and their Spirit." The Native says the last part looking at me. I roll my eyes and look away. "Hmph." I say. "Believe in us?" Toboe asks confused. "Uh-huh. Well, here we are." The Native says. We all look in front, and notice a group of Triangular houses made of cloth a few yards away. When we make it there, a few Humans stopped, and watched us. Kids played with each other and giggled. "Everyone lives here? Together I mean." Toboe says looking around. "Yeah, we travel around as a unit." The Native says. "Wow..." Toboe says amazed. The Native laughs. "Is that so unusual? We live together by treating everybody as equal as the next, that's all." The Native says. "Horses, dogs, and humans." he says and climbs off his horse when we reach a couple girls, putting leaves on a dog laying down. It must be injured. "How is he doing?" the Native asks. "He's better now! And he stopped whimpering." one girl says. "He drank a whole bunch of milk a little while ago." the other says. "He did?" the Native asks. The girls giggle and run away. I watch them go, unable to hide the smile that appeared on my lips. "So was he one of your friends that were attacked last night?" Tsume asks. The Native nods. "i don't know if they were poachers or not, they just hurt the dogs and left. This one kept fighting up until the very end." The Native speaks solemnly. "We know who might've done this." Tsume says. "Huh?" Toboe asks. "That old human." Tsume says. "But he couldn't have, that guy was half frozen! Besides, he knows the difference between a wolf and a dog." Toboe says. "How come your trying so hard to protect that geezer?!" Hige asks. "He was talking...in his sleep. He said Blue I'm so sorry..." Toboe says. "Maybe...if they mistook dogs for wolves..." Hige trails off. "Jagara then?" Tsume says. "It has to be." I say walking up to the space between Toboe and Tsume. The Native looks at me. "She might be killing anything she can get her hands on. Even if it only looks like a wolf." Hige says. "You mentioned earlier about believing in wolves. What exactly did you mean by that?" Tsume asks. "What did I mean? I meant what I said. Wolves are the ancestors of every human being. Except the Nobles of course." The Native says looking towards Tsume. "Eek." an old man's voice calls out. "Yes Elder?" the Native asks turning towards the old man behind myself. "Bring along our guests won't you?" the old man says.
