Chapter 47

Blue's P.O.V.

I wonder if the others got out alright... We walk down a narrow path in the city. "I've got a bad feeling about this place. Doesn't it feel like we're being watched?" I ask Cher. "Maybe the keep is up there..." she says not listening. "It looks like you cant get into the city without an I.D." she says. I sigh. "Well then, I guess we'd better get some." I say. "Easier said then done, what do you suggest?" she asks just as I hear something coming our way, we stop. "Helloo ladies. Dayum you're fine! See, didn't I tell you they were hotties?" a young human in his late teens says proudly. Cher and I just ignore them and start walking again. Cher stops all of a sudden and looks back at them. "Hey, can I ask you something?" she asks them. "Sure, what do ya wanna know?" what I assume is the leader of the two asks. "Do you boys, have any I.D.'s?" she asks. "Well can't you tell by looking at us?" the leader asks, meaning no. "See you around fellas." Cher says and we start walking again. "Snap! Aww, that's cold. Don't be like that!" the leader says before skating over to me. "Check it man, this one's even younger and prettier than the Blonde!" the leader says invading my space. My eyes are wide while Cher's narrow. She growls lowly before walking between me and the boys. "Come on." she says annoyed. The leader grabs her arm. "Wait a second!" he says. "Let go!" she says struggling.  "What's your damage? It won't kill you to have a little fun will it?" the boy asks. "Hands off." I say taking a step towards the boys. They laugh. "Oh man I love your eyes! Got us both shakin all over!" he says. I glare at them. "If you don't get lost right now, you're gonna regret it." I say. "You got it wrong babe, I don't regret nothin! Ha!" he says before they both skate around us, trying to trap me. I see it coming and just as they're both about to get me, I jump out of the way, onto the wall behind me, making them slam into eachother. They look up in shock before I kick off the wall, with a flip, and send them flying backwards onto their backs, before I land. "Hmph. Are you okay?" I ask Cher. Her eyes were wide in shock, before she looks to me. "Yeah." she says. "Oh yeah! Hoo-wee! You're strong, Imma weak in the knees! Ha-Ha, catch you later!" The leader calls out and skates off with his partner. Once they're gone, I sigh in relief. "What was that about?" I ask. "Who knows. Thank you Blue. Those boys didn't know what hit 'em. You're amazing." she says with a smile. "They were kids. Anyway, you have some pretty amazing weapons of your own you know?" I ask. "Huh?" she asks confused. "You got brains, and guts, and the wiles of a woman." I say before we both laugh. 

Toboe's P.O.V.

We walk through the slums of the city. Many people were huddled under self-made tents, and bundled up. "We should be able to find food and water and just about anything else in a place like this, don't you think?" I ask Hige who was scowling for some reason. "After you turn the corner up ahead, there's a big stairway that leads up. After that..." I cut him off. "What are you talking about?" I ask and once we turn the corner, we stop dead in our tracks. There was a big stairway leading up, just like he said. How did he... "It's really here!" he says in shock. "Hige, what's going on?" I ask shocked that he knew. Just then, two boys fly from the top of the stairway with skateboards. "Yeah!" one says before they nearly hit into us, before they skate down the way we came. "You morons! Watch where you're going!" Hige yells with a fisted hand. "Ha-Ha!" they say not listening. Hige glares at their backs. "I guess this place has people like Tsume too." I say.

Yuna's P.O.V.

We stopped at a drop off and looked around, eyes settling on a bunch of guards at a gate. "So what now? Trying to go through the front gate would be suicide. Not that it scares me, just seems kind of pointless that's all." Tsume says gripping my wrist. I can't stop a small smile from playing at my lips. Always so overprotective...not that I mind...I well, kind of like it...I guess. I roll my eyes and nudge him. He takes a side-glance at me and smiles slightly. "In other words, you want to find the back door?" Kiba says, and looks between us with a knowing smirk. Tsume smirks towards Kiba's words. "Well if you insist, I suppose we could." he says, keeps a hold of my wrist, and runs back from the lookout point, I easily keep up, and Kiba follows soon after.

3rd person's P.O.V.

Somewhere in the keep, a man dressed in Black opens a door, to reveal a armored woman reading a book. "Pardon my lady, it has come to my attention that number 23's signal has been detected within the city's walls. What does my lady desire us do?" the man asks. The woman looks up from her book, closing it at the same time. "23?" she asks. "Yes malady. This would mean they have all returned. The long awaited time, has finally arrived." the man in Black says with a smile. The armored woman sets the book on to a desk to the side of her before standing, and walking around the desk. "Leave me." the woman orders. "Yes malady." the man says and bows before leaving. Once alone, the woman walks to the bookcase in front of her and searches the titles of the books until she finds one. "The last wolf. Hidden by the blinding light of the moon." the woman says before smirking evilly and laughing. "What will he be like I wonder...This wolf that will lead me to Paradise..." She says running her finger over the book's cover.

Toboe's P.O.V.

"Come on wait up! Hige..." I say trying to catch up to him. "And just up ahead there's a little elevator...Past that..." Hige says off in his own thoughts. "Huh?" I ask myself and continue to follow him. Soon, just like he said, there is a little elevator in front of us. "I don't believe it..." I say before we step inside. We're brought up. "This aught to take us all the way up." Hige says amazed that he knew this. "Hey, shouldn't we be heading back by now?" I ask getting a bit freaked out that he knew all this. "Relax, we'll be fine, let's just see how far we can go okay?" he asks. Once we're to the surface, I follow Hige. "Uh...Hige, how did you know? You've been here before right?" I ask. "Nope, but when your instincts are as sharp as mine are, you get a feel for things." Hige says. After a while, we walk past an armored vehicle, just like the one that was trying to snatch Kiba up back in the Desert's Bones. "Hey, how come there isn't any scent in this place?" I ask Hige. "Who knows, maybe that Jagara lady is a clean freak." Hige says sounding a bit off. "Wait up would you?" I say and Hige stops in his tracks. "What's the matter?" I ask once Hige raises his hand to his head and grimaces. "Everytime I try to think, my head starts pounding.." Hige says. "Probably not use to the strain is all." I tease, expecting a reaction, but soon am concerned. He always reacts when we tease him... "Hige please, tell me what's wrong." I say. "Nothing's wrong okay?" he says, though the sweat on his forehead said otherwise. "Come on you've been acting weird since we got here!" I say. "Get off my back will ya!" Hige shouts and starts running. "Hige!" I call after him but he ignores me and keeps running. There was no way I could catch up to him.
