Yuna's P.O.V.
So this is the back entrance... I continue to stare at the huge Red cables leading into the keep. "This is it. No one's ever followed it to the end before. But the cables around here definitely run under the keep. With any luck, they should get you in." the boy says. "Right." Tsume says. "Some guy told me that these are suppose to carry energy into the city or something." The boy says. The energy permeating off of these cables was almost crushing, it felt like all my energy was being drained from my body. "Do you feel that?" Tsume asks us. "Yeah. It's the complete opposite of basking in the moonlight." Kiba says. "It feels like all my strength is being sucked out of my body." Tsume says and grabs my hand in his. I give him a reassuring squeeze and smile softly. "Something tells me it's only gonna get worse up ahead." he says mostly to me. I swallow nervously, nod, and look back to the cables. "I know." Kiba and I both say. "Uh...listen, a-are you really going in there?" the boy asks nervously. We all look back at the two boys. "Yeah." Kiba says with a smile. "Yuna, if I asked you t--" Tsume starts to mumble to me, but I cut him off. "Absolutely not. I'm coming with you." I mumble back. Tsume sighs reluctantly accepting my choice, and squeezes my hand just a bit, before looking back to the two boys. "Thanks for the help guys." Tsume says before we walk towards the edge of the platform overlooking the cables. "You know Tsume, the others might be waiting for us." Kiba says, hinting that he agreed with Tsume about me staying behind. I roll my eyes while Tsume looks back at Kiba and nods slightly, before turning his head forward again. "Do you wanna turn back?" Tsume asks him. Kiba says nothing. "Then let's keep going. Knowing Hige, I'm sure he'll catch up with us sooner or later." Tsume says before stopping. "We just have to have a little faith." he says before he pulls me with him, and we jump off the ledge onto the huge Red Cables, Kiba follows, and I hear the two boys gasp in shock at how far we jumped. I smirk and jump, keeping up with Tsume. "You know there's no turning back now, don't you?" he asks me as we jumped. "Who're you telling that to, me or yourself?" I ask with a smirk. He sighs and shakes his head. "You're a pain in my a**." he says chuckling slightly. "You like it." I say. "Good luck wolves, you can do it." I hear Vergle say, since we weren't out of hearing distance yet. "Huh?!" the other says shocked before we can no longer hear them. We jump onto a platform built over the cables to catch our breath and observe what lay ahead before jumping back down to the cables and following them.
Hige's P.O.V.
I stop running and lean against a building for support. My head still felt like it was splitting. "Dammit! What the hell is wrong with me..? Why am I..." I cut off at the sound of a gun clicking and snap my head to look behind me. Two armored people stood there staring back at me. My eyes widen and I start to run. One aims at me, shoots, and sends me flying over the edge of the upper city. I land on the lower region on my hands and knees, I knew they were following me, so I quickly get up, and go as fast as I could right now, while holding a hand to my head, which was hurting again. Soon, I'm at a dead end and I look back towards them as they closed in. There was nothing I could do, as another wave of agonizing pain goes through my head. I squeeze my eyes shut and yell in pain. I fall to the ground and watch as they got closer and closer. My vision became blurry and went in and out. One guard kneels before me and checks my collar. "Number 23 huh? Doesn't look like any others are with him." the one guard says before getting up and walking away with the other. I sit myself up and lean against the wall behind me. What are they talking about..? "Why did they spare me? I don't get it..." I trail off as more pain comes to my head. "Oh...my head..! What's going on?!" I ask myself. Another wave of pain pulls me under.
