My Paradise (Wolf's Rain Fan-Fic)

Chapter 10-2

AUTHOR'S NOTES: FROM THIS POINT ON, IN THE REST OF THE CHAPTERS, YUNA IS THE MAIN P.O.V IN THIS FAN-FICTION, BUT! ONCE IN A WHILE, THE OTHER CHARACTERS WILL HAVE P.O.V's (Point of Views) DEPENDING ON THE SCENES, SUCH AS THIS ONE :D

As we walked, I noticed the skeletons of people, rusted machines, useless guns, and other various items. "This is no ordinary city, it's a war zone." I say looking around more. As we left the war zone, the snow covered ground came back. There was so much pollution in the city, that all the snow melted away. The stench of death and decay lessens the farther away we got. I still had a bad feeling, so I stayed cautious, as I looked behind us, I notice the machine; though a few yards away; was still following us, and gaining speed. "You've got to be kidding me!" I say. Tsume and Toboe stop and look back at me. "Sh*t!" Tsume says. "It's still following us?!" Toboe asks shocked. "That thing just doesn't give up!" I say as we start running. As we went, I notice a more frequent blood trail. "Tsume, you're losing too much blood!" I say walking up to him. "I'll be fine." he says and continues to run/limp. We find ourselves on a narrow ice bridge soon after. The Mech. was no longer so far away. As we run across it, I notice the drop off on each of the bridge's side. Great, just perfect. The Mech. finally stops right before the ice bridge. "What is it doing?" Toboe asks. No one answers. I follow the machine's movements, trying to figure it out myself. That's when it starts repeatedly slamming it's front legs onto the end of the bridge. The bridge shakes as we're trying to cross it, I look back, to see what it was going to do next, but I wish I hadn't. It pulls out a Launcher of some kind. Oh. My. God. I knew what it was planning. "Brace yourselves!" I say just as the mech stops, and shoots the other end of the bridge, making it crumble to peices, and falling into the drop off. The last thing I see before everything goes Black, is the ice falling above me, and us falling.

Tsume's P.O.V.

I groan as I regain consciousness. At first I don't remember what happened, but everything comes crashing back all at once. I sit up quickly and look around. We were in a underground cave. Toboe was laying a few feet away from me, but there was no sign of Yuna anywhere. "Where's Yuna?" I ask worried. "S-She's safe, I left her over there, I was able to take the peices of ice off of her, but I couldn't get her over here without the machine seeing us..." he says trailing off and pointing to the other side of the cave. She was laying unconscious. The sound of crashing catches our attention. It was the Mech. "Sh*t!" I say, starting to get up. "We have to get her!" I say as I continue to struggle to get up. Toboe stops me. "You're overexerting yourself, Tsume! You'll die!" he says. "If that's the case, use me as bait! We can't just leave her over there!" I say. "Don't be ridiculous! I'll be the bait, use the chance to run away! I'll get her too!" he says and starts running. "Stop!" I yell. He does and lookes back at me. "Trust me." he says smiling and runs out of our hiding place. The mech. starts shooting at him as he ran towards Yuna. I go as fast as I could manage with my injured leg. That's when I notice it was no longer shooting. I stop and look towards it. It had seen me. I curse under my breath and start running as fast as I could, as it shot at me now. I see a wall of ice and run behind it. The machine stopped long enough to blast the ice wall, throwing me onto the ground a few feet away.  I sit up and turn towards the machine, which was now fully focused on me. I look behind it, to where Yuna had been laying unconscious, but wasn't there anymore. Where is she? I look back to the mech. A howl builds up in my throat, but I choke it down, no help was going to come for us. A howl peirces the night sky and I look towards the one who was howling. My eyes widen as I see the Black and Brown wolf. The mech focuses on her now, but she knew that. 'I'll distract it, try not to get caught again.' Yuna's voice fills my head. I try to get up, but my leg wasn't allowing it. I shed my Human Illusion. 'I can't get up, I don't have enough strength.' I say. That's when a flash of White appears out of no where and attacks the machine. Yuna appears at my side as a Human. My eyes widen and I turn Human, knowing she wanted me to. "Yuna, Tsume! This way!" I hear Hige call from a ledge. "Let's get out of here, shall we?" Yuna asks. I nod and let her lead us away.
