Chapter 53

Toboe's P.O.V.

Soldiers in Black armor block my way, all holding guns and aiming them at me. I turn on my heels and try to run away from them, but the high-powered air shoots out of those shields of theirs, and knocks me out.

Hige's P.O.V.

We jump from riser to riser until we stop at the very last one. Toboe lay on the ground unconscious. "Toboe, no!" I say under my breath as to not alert the guards surrounding him. Two of the soldiers notice us and start running, Blue grabs my wrist and we jump away quickly.

Kiba's P.O.V.

Another guard down but more take his place, I continue to dodge their high-powered air guns while taking them down one by one. There's no way I can take them all, I have to get past them! I jump over a few bodies, but soon, I am attacked by a guard with a very sharp ax-like weapon, I dodge that, turn wolf, and lunge at the guard's throat. He dies and I run away from the many guards that attacked all at once.

Yuna's P.O.V.

We open the door, but Tsume holds his hand out to stop me, before he checks inside. I don't argue, knowing he was only trying to protect me. "Wait here." he says before walking inside. I roll my eyes and walk inside with him. "Yuna!" he whispers loudly, scolding me. I shrug and wave him off. "You saw what happened to Kiba earlier, what would you do if we were separated huh?" I whisper loudly as well. He growls annoyed, but doesn't argue, just snatches my wrist with his hand. Exactly. He looks around cautiously as we walk deeper into the room. Many of what look like trophy cases lined up the sides of the large room. I wonder what's inside them... I stop, making him stop with me. "Hey, Tsume...what do you think are in these trophy cases?" I ask curiously. He shrugs. "Beats me." he says and looks around. "Hmm..." I walk towards one of them. Dust covered the glass, but I saw an outline of something, but the dust made it impossible to see what it was. I blow some of the dust away and squint, trying to see what was inside. My eyes widen in horror as I see what it is, and I stagger a few steps back. "Yuna? What is it? What's wrong?" Tsume asks confused as he sees my expression. He follows my gaze to the trophy case and his eyes widen in horror as well. A wolf, stood inside, in a howling pose. I could tell it was once alive, not a wax figure, which made my stomach lurch in response. We looked around at all the cases, clearly making out the outlines of Wolves inside. A mixture of rage, sadness, and fear wraps around my heart. "What the hell is this place..?" I breath, unable to move from my spot. Tsume couldn't either. The wolf I had found, had a collar on, just like Hige's, and had the same fur too. "Tsume...the collar..." I say gripping his arm with my free hand. He looks at it and his grip tightens on my wrist, just as a cage drops around us, out of nowhere. I jump, while Tsume pulls me close to him, putting me behind him, as we look around.

Kiba's P.O.V.

I lunge at another guard, just as they all shoot their high-powered air at me, it knocks me away a few inches, before I slam to the ground. One guard raises his ax-like weapon, and attacks me, but I am able to jump up and lock onto his windpipe. Blood spurts out of him onto the ground as his body falls. The other guards seem to be shocked and all let out small gasps. I look at them all and snarl angrily. They all recover, and point their ax-like weapons towards me, before familiar Red Rays shoot out of them.

Third Person's P.O.V.

The armored woman stops twirling once the floor vibrates from an explosion somewhere in the keep. "It is time, come to me wolf that was chosen by the flower." she says with a wicked smile.

Kiba's P.O.V.

I limp up the spiral staircase after dealing with the guards. Blood pooled from my wounds, but I kept going. 'Cheza...I'm...coming...'
