Count Down: Hawks X Reader

Day 14: Misfortune

I woke up next to Keigo. He was yet again he was awake before me. He was petting my hair as he had his wings wrapped around us.

"Morning love bird" He said

"Morning feathers."

"That's a new one."

"Your not the only one allowed to make new nicknames."

He chuckled and kissed my cheek.

"Hawks do you have bandages at your house. And something I can... you know... that thing." I said.

"You can use one of my feathers." He said he seemed upset.

Not at me but he didn't seem to like the idea of what I need to do.

"Are you upset?" I asked.

"No, it's just even I knew your reason I just don't like that you need to hurt yourself." He said.

"Such as life." I said.

I gotten up and he gave me his feather. It was sharp now and I went to the bath room to do it. Once I was done I clean up, I tried to make sure I didn't leave anything behind. Keigo walked in after a few minutes and insisted to help me with my bandages. I would have made breakfast but I need to go back home to get my uniform. He pick me up and fly us over to my house. Once we got there Hawks left to get ready for his own work. I got ready for work and head out to the cafe.

Once I was at the Cafe I waved at Kai.

"So when we're you gonna tell me?" Kai asked.

"I was going to but I had a date. Since he asked me out yesterday morning. He caught me, in the middle of you know. 'The thing'"

"Oh damn, that must have been awkward."

"Yeah but it was nice. He genuinely cared and that all that matters. He didn't care about my quirk either. I really got lucky didn't I?"

"Love what a wonderful thing."

"How did you and Mirko go hmmm? You two got pretty drunk."

"Nothing much. We're just good friends. I'm totally not her type either, we talked about our interests and you and Hawks. It was very apparent that we be good friends but not lovers."

"Well at least you have a few friend right?"

"Yup yup."

Lunch time came very quickly, both Hawks and Mirko came by. We talked a lot while all of us ate. It was great having alll of them together. Before hawks left he gave me a kiss. I blushed and continued back to my work. Kai and Mirko laughed at our PDA.

While on the way home, A villain went on a rage mode and was wad hitting everything and everyone. I tried to get way but the villain caught me by the Leg and shook me around. I felt so dizzy after that all I knew I was that a hero but I didn't know how had stopped the villain.

I got up after a few minutes and the news people kept trying to as me questions. Thankfully the hero who save me, Fat gum was able to get me away for the media people and got me to the medic. Thankfully it wasn't broken but it was sprained. The medics told me to To drink more water and probably should not work for at least 2-3 days. The medics luckily had a healing quirks and shorten the time taht would take me to heal this. Normal it would have taken at least a week. Fat gum was nice enough to offer to get me home which I gladly took on. It was nice as we had a great conversation about food. He help me to my door and made sure I was in my house before leaving.

I called Kai after an hour or so. Mostly because I need to tell him I won't be at work for a while.

"Hey what's up?" Kai asked.

"You busy right now?"

"No not really. I was talking to Hawks, you know when he gets his dinner. Why did something happen."

"You would believe my luck."

"Ah so something did happen. Are you okay?"

"Fine but I won't be at work for the next few days. I sprained my ankle form having a villain shake me like that Nemo girl shaking her gold fish."

"Oh my god!" I heard in the. Background followed by a slam.

"Welp looks like Hawks is going to check on you."

"Oh."

"You wanna some take out?"

"I ordered pizza already thanks tho."

"Alright just take it easy okay?"

"Yeah yeah."

About five minutes later I heard a door bell rang. I already knew who it was so I carefully got up and opened the door for Keigo. Keigo immediately lifted me up so I didn't have to walk back to my couch.

"Why didn't you call me sooner? I could have came and saved the day" he said worried.

"It wasn't a big deal. Fat gum handle it like a champ." I said.

"Still..." Keigo said.

"Kei it's fine, I'm okay. Well mostly okay anyways."

"_____, why don't you come to my place for a few nights? That way I can take care of you."

"You don't have to. I'll be fine on my own. It's only a few days I'm sure I can make it on my own."

"I insist! It be easier with someone around you know!"

"No no it's fine really."

"In that case I'll just come to you." He said.

"Fine." I said giving in to his demands.

He's too cute and to easy to read sometimes. He's wings where all fluffed up and flapping happily behind him. I reached over to one of the drawers next to the couch and threw my spare keys at him. He caught them of course.

"Don't lose those." I said.

He smile and gave me tones of kiss. It was then that we where interrupted by the pizzas delivery guy. Keigo went to open the door and grab the pizza. After that Keigo spend the night at my place.
