These lights sat still in place flickering off the surroundings into the sky. We got closer and saw a shed sized building built entirely of wood. Torches lit by flame stood outside the building lighting the pathway to the door.. Inside we could hear the sound of music. Music that I had never heard before and people's voices. I took a step closer out of habit but then fear struck me.
We're in an unfamiliar place. I couldn't even place where we are on a map.. I had no previous knowledge that this part of the island existed. I told Sydney that we needed to go inside the building to see if we could find a phone to call well, actually what I said to Sydney was."We need to find a phone now" and she more or less nodded in agreement.
I allowed Sydney to go ahead of me. The door was made of solid wood and it was heavy. The inside of the building was warm and the smell of bread filled my nose. I just wanted to engulf whatever food was being made. It was long past dinner time and I was starving.
