The commoners didn't have the same resources we did and they had nobody fighting for what they wanted or needed. I would be the people's voice, I reached my hand out to place it onto my father's arm. "Dad, I know this is hard. I don't want to lose you either but we need to do this," I said to him.
My father looked around the room at all these kids that were pleading to fight for the next generation. I believe it brought my dad a sense of pride. Pride that he had run his kingdom to be full of prosperity, and that he had raised his daughter to fight for the things she believed in. I couldn't help but feel proud of myself because I was finally standing up for the things I believed in.
Islaraven had taught me the true meaning of Agra as the people of Islaraven would say. I knew I was making the right choice. My father reached out and hugged me. "Lia, are you sure about this?" I didn't know if any of us would survive this war but one thing I did know was that if everyone else was willing to try to stand up there and fight against the Erix so was I.
