Monday March 29th 1802
Today when I awake I am reminded it is a Monday, the happiest day of the week. Today is the day that could change the destiny of Islaraven forever, and ultimately change its people indefinitely. The kingdom of Erix boats will land on port sometime this afternoon. We were directed by my father to position ourselves before they landed.
Our first defense tactic will be to shoot cannons at them, and only if that doesn't cause the men to retreat. We will move to firing our guns. I got myself dressed since all the civilians had been told to go home and bunker down. My special combat outfit was a silky black color the same color as the rest of my squads.
I wanted to make sure that my men knew that I stood with them, if it took losing my life for the sake of my loved ones I was willing. I reached for my crown. The gems sparkled in the sunlight, I allowed myself to ponder on all I have endured since returning to Islaraven.
