Frances and Thomas were already there when we got to the field, they were each holding giant silver swords in their hands. The men fenced their swords back and forth with eachother fighting. Sydney reached onto the ground and gave me a sword to hold as well. It was heavy, something I would have to get used to if I were to wield a sword for protection during this war.
I held the sword, copying France's position which made him chuckle a bit, which rather annoyed me. Frances reached around behind me helping reposition my elbow, "this is how you do it.'' He walked infront of me, eyeing me up and down. Frances brought his own sword up into the same position as me and then whacked it down towards me.
I quickly deflected my own sword so they would clash. "Good girl," Frances said. I was shocked that I blocked his sword effectively. Frances looked me in the eye "okay let's go again," he said. As a group we practiced defensive training, taking turns battling each other with swords for hours.
