I sat down upon my throne and awaited the men and women to take their places, to welcome the soldiers home. People slowly filled up the room sitting in pews along the walls. Trumpets sounded from every area within the kingdom indicating the arrival of the soldiers. The double doors opened wide and just like the knighting ceremony the men lined up and stepped forward one-by-one.
My father placed similar patches onto the men's shoulders; the thing that differentiated the sailors from the knights was that theirs had a boat stitched onto it. A raven stood on top of the sail. A young man with shaggy black hair who was clearly the youngest among the group of men, stepped towards my father.
