I had to figure out a way, our kingdom was already indebted to other nations from paying off condolence fees for the lives lost from different colonies, so we could not recruit more help and I wasn't sure that involving other kingdoms was the right idea. Today, I am to meet with the privy council to discuss all these matters including what I had seen in the villages.
Convincing the council to listen to me would be hard. They had more respect for me now since I helped fight during the war but many of them were still stuck in their ways.
