That was completely and utterly despicable especially when most of the commoners couldn't even afford food. I was not sure how we could stop the Erix as of yet but, I was determined like I had always been to find a solution to all of our problems. My powers had been growing stronger as I practiced them over these months. They still were no match to go up against dragon fire. I held the key to restoring Islaraven back to its original standing...

I had to figure out a way, our kingdom was already indebted to other nations from paying off condolence fees for the lives lost from different colonies, so we could not recruit more help and I wasn't sure that involving other kingdoms was the right idea. Today, I am to meet with the privy council to discuss all these matters including what I had seen in the villages.

Convincing the council to listen to me would be hard. They had more respect for me now since I helped fight during the war but many of them were still stuck in their ways.
