I knew exactly what he was questioning me about, and I was not about to play this game with my father. "I am not a child, do not treat me like one,'' I said. My dad rose from his seat and approached me."I am not treating you like a child Azalia! I am treating you like a princess like the future ruler of this country" he yelled at me. I never thought about ruling this country seriously.
"What if I don't want to be queen of Islaraven?'' I said.. My Father had been lying to me and this country since I had returned. Maybe even well before my return. I had zero intentions of cleaning up the King's messes. "Azalia. You no longer have that option. You are the Princess of this country!" My father shouted at me from across the room.
It was too late, he was right. I had taken a binding oath to the people and court. I swore to protect the country and the people within it. The epiphany struck me and I finally understood what I needed to do.
