Chapter 7

Eva's Pov

That same night Rafael came up to me and told me about the kiss with a huge smile on his face that made my heart break and then went to his room. I realised I was feeling like this because I have feelings for him. Again.

Flashback

After what happened with John Rafael was there for me. I never told him what happened. Just that John cheated and I was heartbroken. I didn't want to leave my bed. But Rafael convinced me to get lunch with him.

At lunch we ran into John and I froze. Tears forming in my eyes. Rafael noticed and turned to where I was looking and his jaw clenched. We started walking away when I felt pain at my wrist. I turned around to see John smirking. Rafael confronted him about cheating on me and john's smirk grew wider knowing I didn't tell Rafael what happened.

He let go and as we were walking away we could hear him saying "you really are a slut."

At that Rafael turned around and punched him. A fight broke out and security had to force them apart before I dragged Raf away from there.

All the time we were going home he kept asking me if I was ok ignoring the cuts and bruising on his face. At that moment I knew I had feelings for him.

Flashback over

My feelings slowly faded when he started hooking up with other girls and when he met Petra.

I called Mark and asked him to meet. We walked into the cafe and I told him we should end it. I told him the reason and he smiled sadly and thanked me for being honest and we parted ways.

Back at the hotel I make my way upstairs to check in on Petra I know she's done bad things but I was the maid of honour at her wedding and she's still a friend. I knock on the door. Petra opens it with a slightly panicked face.

"Hey is everything okay I wanted to check in on you ask if you need anything." I ask kindly

"We don't need anything. Go away" her mother said with an accent. Before I could say anything else I heard muffled sound coming from the room and Petra shut the door in my face saying that they didn't need anything.

Well that was weird

Raf and I are prepping for the opening of the nightclub we invested in when Jane walked up to us

"Have you had enough time? Ready to go on a date" he asks her and my eyes widen p. When did this happen?

"Hi Jane how are you? I'm sorry apparently Raf doesn't know how to greet people." I say making her face slightly relax.

"I'm fine she answers me. I came to ask a favour actually, which is totally unrelated to our current situation." She says and sits down

"And what is our current situation?" Raf asks with a smile. He's enjoying this.

"Back to the favour. So there's a club that you guys are apparently investors in and it's my friends birthday. I was dispatched to ask if you could get a group of us put on the list." She says changing the topic

We share a look and I answer "We'd be happy to."

"But just so you know, I'm gonna be there and so is Eva." He says

Jane looks at us confused.

"Yeah it's opening night, we have to make an appearance. So we'll be there, together." Raf says and smiles

"Not a problem. But just so you understand it's not a date." She says

"Agreed not a date." he says and smirks.
