When I get back I am immediately bombarded by Rafael saying he is the father to Petra's baby. I started laughing when I saw his face. He's serious. Oh. My. God.
It is Mateo's baptism soon and Jane asked me to be Mateo's godmother. Lina understood completely saying she could not take care of a baby better than me.
At the rehearsal at the church Rafael explained that his plan of getting Petra out by seducing her worked out so well that she decided to inseminate herself with his sperm. God he's going to have two babies under the age of one.
After Rafael met with Petra he told me all about her three options of ending the pregnancy now. Finding a Russian man or Co-parenting.
"She is insane." Raf says as I make faces at Mateo. Jane left Mateo with us while she ran a few errands.
"She is but honestly I cannot say I'm surprised. I knew she would do something insane." I say in a baby voice, still making faces at Mateo and I notice him blink and look at me. When I notice Rafael is also looking at me with a soft smile.
"Look if you do this you will have two kids under the age of one. Are you willing to do that." I ask turning my attention to him
"I don't know. If she ends the pregnancy then if I want another child later I can't have one. If she moves to Russia I have to spend the rest of my life knowing my kid is out there." He says not knowing he answered the question
"I want the baby but I also need to talk to Jane." He says
"That's fair." I say and make faces at Mateo again until he falls asleep.
At Mateo's baptism Jane gives a beautiful speech at at her mother gave at he baptism and her grandmother gave at her mother's. After the ceremony we went to Jane's house and I sitting on the couch and I have Mateo on my lap as he clutches my finger in his tiny hand. This reminds me of when Lia was a baby. Soon enough we leave and I pass out on my bed as Raf talks to Jane.
The next day I walk into Petra's office as Raf walks out to see her dancing.
"Is that your version of a happy dance." I say and she stops
"I have to tell you something." She says
"Is it that your pregnant." I say with a smirk
"Rafael told you." She says and I nod. "Are you her to tell me I'm crazy." She says
"No, I get why you did it." I say
"Really?" She says with a shocked expression
"No." I say and I started laughing. She also started laughing
"And you were right. You are crazy." I say as we get closer.
"Don't call me crazy." She says and I realise how close we are. I can feel her breath on my skin and she kisses me.
